THE CHURCHES OF YEREVAN (3 - 3,5 hours)
Surb Sargis, St, Grigor the Illuminator’s Cathedral; Zoravor church, Kathoghike, Nork’s St, Grigor (as option); Several churches can be found in the landscape of Yerevan. The earliest among them was the Temple of Poghos and Petros (VIc.), formerly standing on the territory of nowadays cinema "Moscow". It was ruined by the decree of Soviet government in the 1930s. The same fate occurred with another church of old Yerevan - St. Grigor Lusavorich that was erected close to the present Amiryan Street

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF GRIGOR LUSAVORICH (2 days)
Khor Vorap, Echmiadzin, Hovhannavank Saghmosavank, Sevan; On the territory of historical Armenian there are many places connected with the name of Grigor Lusavorish who implanted Christianity in Armenia. Among them the Monastery of Khor Virap is the most famous one. Echmiadzin is the Armenian name for " the descent of the only begotten". A legend attributes this name to the miraculous apparition of St. Grigor Lusavorich. In his vision, on coming down to the earth Jesus Christ struck the earth with a golden hammer and an image of a church appeared. On that spot St. Grigor built his Cathedral, which he called Echmiadz

Day 3:
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SURB SARGIS (4 - 4,5 hours)
Yerevan Surb Sargis church; visit to Oushi monastery (IV-XVIIIIcc.); Nork St Sargis church (1999); one day/ duration Surb Sargis is one of the adored and beloved saints of Armenians, especially among the youth. People always applied to him for help and for escaping from the danger. Sargis have lived in the Anatolia. He was one of Roman military commanders of Capadokia. At the time being he was famous for his struggle against the followers of pagan religion. In the beginning of V century Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of Armenian alphabet, being in Mesopotamia, brought the relics of St. Sargis to Armenia and put them in the Oushi monastery, near the village of Karbi

Day 4:
ECHMIADZIN MUSEUM TOUR (3-4 hours)
Visit to the museums and the Treasury of the Echmiadzin Holy See. Holy Echmiadzin collection is displayed in the four main museums within the enclave of the sanctuary: the Cathedral museum, the Alex and Mary Manoogian Treasury, the Old Residence of the Catholicos and the New Residence of the Catholicos. The collection has been enriched throughout history and, alas, often pillaged and destroyed by the invaders. The collection presents elegant creations of goldsmithing from the famous western Armenian art centers of Karin, Van and Moush. There are one of a kind religious objects created by craftsmen from Costantinople and Isfahan, magnificent reliquaries from the Armenian monasteries, manuscripts with miniature paintings from the 9th - 16th centuries. Wonderful samples of needlework and embroidery, curtains and ceremonial vestments are presented along with religious relics salvaged from Moush, Varagavank, Van, Karin and other regions of historical Armenia.

Day 5:
PILGRIMAGE TO HAVUTS TAR (5- 6 hours)
The pilgrimage takes a start from the Eastern walls of the fortress down to the gorge of Azat river. There the beautiful sights of the cliffs and the chains of rocks surrounding Azat could astonish one. The pathway along Azat river and every step opens spectacular pictures of the natural basalt columns which were derived centuries ago of the hardened volcanic lava. All this astonishly harmonized with the surrounding landscape - full of springs and creatures. After descending to Azat river canyon and passing the medieval bridge above the way leads up to the rocks and hills. By obvious reasons the way is off-road for cars. Cutting through a small desert can be seen the ruins of Havuts Tar Christian monastery

Day 6:
PILGRIMAGE TO HAGHARTSIN (5 - 5,5 hours)
Haghartsin Monastery is nestled on a forest-covered highland above a valley northwest of the city of Dilidjan. Established in the X century Hagartsin flourished in the XIII century under the primacy of Khachatur Taronatsi when it was an important educational centre. The Hagharstin complex includes several churches, chapels and other auxiliary buildings

June 2 The day of Holy Echmiadzin - VISIT TO THE ECHMIADZIN HOLY SEE, This is the holiday of building of Echmiadzin Mother Cathedral (303 A. D.).
June 15 The Recovery of St. Grigors remains – VISIT TO THE KECHARIS MONASTERY, The main church of Kecharis monastery was named by St. Grigor Lusavorich.
June 20 St. Sahak and St. Mesrob day - VISIT TO OSHAKAN. By the efforts of St. Sahak Parthev Catholicos and St, Mesrop Mashtotc the Armenian alphabet was created (405 A. D.). St. Mesrop Mashtotc was buried in the church of Oshakan village.
July 7 Transfiguration of Christ (Vardavar) - VISIT TO SEVANAVANK. The ancient Armenian pagan sacred holiday of water after the adoption of Christianity was adapted for the new religion. Water spraying is the usual attribute of this day
August 18 The day of blessing of the grape (Assumption day) - VISIT TO THE ECHMIADZIN HOLY SEE. The date of blessing of the grape is connected with the ancient ritual of sacrificing of the first fruit.
September 8 Birthday holiday of Holy Virgin – VISIT TO GEGHARD MONASTERY. Gerard’s main chathedral St. Astvatsatsin was constructed in 1215 and dedicated to God’s Mother
September 15 Khachverats ton - ASTVATSINKAL VANK PILGRIMAGE, This church was erected on the place, where a piece of the Holy Cross is buried.
September 28 St. Gevork day - VISIT TO MUGHNI CHURCH, ASHTARAK. The Mughni Monastery in the village of Mughni near the Ashtarak city is the well known place of Armenian pilgrimages and holiday meetings dedicated to the St. Gevork.
October 12 Thargmanchats ton (the day of translators) - Thargmanchats ton (The Day of Translators), (available in October12). This holiday is dedicated to the all Armenian intellectuals who were engaged in the translation of Holy Bible into Armenian after the creation of new Armenian alphabet in 405 A. D.
October 27 The holy Cross’s Discovering day - ASTVATSINKAL VANK PILGRIMAGE, This church was erected on the place, where a piece of the Holy Cross is buried.
