Zanzibar is an archipelago made up of Zanzibar and Pemba Islands, and several islets. It is located in the Indian Ocean, about 25 miles from the Tanzanian coast, and 6° south of the equator. Zanzibar Island (known locally as Unguja, but as Zanzibar internationally) is 60 miles long and 20 miles wide, occupying a total area of approximately 650 square miles or 2,332 sq. kms. It is characterised by beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral reefs, and the magic of historic Stone Town - said to be the only functioning ancient town in East Africa and recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The main rains are from March to May.

Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Old Stone Town Tour.

Breakfast , this full day tour with a lunch break will take you to the historical Sites of the Old Stone town including the modern local market. Dinner and Overnight Bwawani Hotel or Similar.

Day 2:
Spice Tour.

Breakfast, this tour will take you to the ‘magic’ Spice farms of Zanzibar. The target is to discover natural spices at the rural growing areas and to interact with the local people. Dinner and Overnight the Kibweni Beach Villa Hotel /Tembo Hotel or Similar.

Day 3:
Fruit Farms - Persian Baths.

Breakfast, the Morning will be spent to walk in the fruits growing area, and the clients will taste more than 40 odd fruits among them, Mangos, ylang - ylang, Nutmeg, Star fruit etc. Lunch (fish bar barbeque). Afternoon visit the ancient Persian Baths and Bububu beach for a swim. Evening Transfer to Dar Or dinner and overnight hotel of your choice (Zanzibar town.)

Day 4:
Uroa Beach - Fishing - Scuba Diving.

Early breakfast,(lunch boxes) leave for a fishing expedition evening return to the hotel for dinner and Overnight.

Day 5:
Jozani Forest Tour.

Breakfast (with lunch boxes) leave Uroa Bay Hotel to visit this ancient forest area Unique for its endangered red colobus monkey. Here hikers will discover that the flora and fauna is still intact and rich compared to other parts of the Island. Evening proceed to town centre for Dinner and Overnight, Hotel of your choice OR transfer to Dar es Salaam for your home bound flight.
