Your Itinerary
Day 1: Reception on arrival and transfer Mt. Lavinia Hotel. (L/D).
Day 2: After b'fast proceed to Dambulla enroute driving through the city of Colombo and visiting the Elephant orphanage with about 100 elephants. Lunch at Kandalama. Visit Anuradhapura Ancient city, Jethawana Dagaba, Ruwanwelisaya Dagaba and Abhayagiriya dagaba which are as tall as the Pyramids. The museum, Isurumuniya first Buddhist image house 2500 years old, Sri Maha Bodhi - the oldest religiously authenticated tree in the world and the most venerated Buddhist temple, Thuparama, Moonstone, Samadhi Buddha Statue, Twin Ponds. Overnight at Kandalama. (B/D).
Day 3: After b'fast visit the world famous Rock fortress of Sigiriya. After Lunch proceed to Polonnaruwa the second Capital of Sri Lanka 1500 years old. Visit the famous plonnaruwa statue, Pothgulvehara, Audience halls of King Nissankamalla and King Parakramabahu, Royal pond, Siva Linga Kovil, Thuparama, Watadage, Stone book, Nissankalatha Mandapaya, Lankathilake, Alakamandawa ancient hospital, Galviharaya, Lotus Pond, Thiwanka Pilimage. Overnight at Kandalama. (B/D).
Day 4: After early b'fast proceed to Dambulla Rock Cave Temples. Continue tour to Kandy enroute visiting a spice garden. Afternoon rest. Dinner and overnight at Kandy the Hill Capital and the last Kingdom. (B/D).
Day 5: After b'fast visit the botanical gardens, university campus, handicraft factories and gem lapidaries. Shopping. After lunch rest and Evening visit to the Temple of Tooth of Lord Buddha for evening ceremony followed by a special cultural dance show. Overnight at Kandy. (B/D).
Day 6: After b'fast proceed to Nuwara Eliya 6000ft above sea level. The highest city on the mountains via tea plantations visiting a tea factory. Nuwara Eliya is a typical British village as it was the Holiday centre of the British during the colonial rule in Sri Lanka.(Warm clothing recommended). Evening visit to the Hakkagala Botanical gardens. Overnight at Nuwara Eliya. (B/D).
Day 7: After b’fast proceed to Horton planes wild life sanctuary by special Jeep. Trek to world’s end. A unique plane on a plateau on the high mountains. Visit the Hakkagala Boatanical Gardens. Overnight at Nuwara Eliya. (B/D).
Day 8: Proceed to Tissamaharama enroute visiting the Rawana Ella waterfalls. Proceed to Katharagama Hindu temple and witness the ceremonies and rituals. Dinner and overnight at Tissamaharama/Katharagama. (B/D).
Day 9: Early morning at 5.30 am proceed by Jeep to the Yala wild life sanctuary for a safari. Picnic B'fast will be provided by the hotel. Return to hotel for refreshments and proceed to Beach Resort at Beruwela. Overnight at Beach Resort. (B/D).
Days 10 – 14: At leisure on the same beach resort. (B/D).
Day 15: Departure transfer. (B).
