Ayahuasca SpiritQuest introduces you to the ancient shamanic healing plants and practices of the Peruvian Amazon within a safe, sensitive, intellectually-stimulating and spiritually focused framework.
Ayahuasca SpiritQuest will immerse you in the authentic grassroots shamanic culture of the Peruvian Amazon, connecting you with the profound and timeless healing energy, thus enabling a deeper understanding of self and the unique mystical and plant healing practices for which the Peruvian Amazon is renowned.
Ones' perspectives on life, death, nature, plants, people, culture, medicine, healing, the world of spirit and their intrinsic interrelationships will be enriched and expanded by the knowledge, wisdom, and sage practices shared with us by our gifted curanderos. Enrollment is limited to twenty participants per retreat to help assure optimal attention to individual needs and interests.

Your Itinerary
You will arrive in Iquitos, Peru. We will greet you at the airport and travel by land and water to the lovely SpiritQuest Shamanic Sanctuary, a 4* private riverside ceremonial retreat center with all the comforts of hime, surrounded by old-growth rainforest and gently flowing rivers.
Here you will escape the commercial lodge atmosphere, basking instead in the genuine cultural lifestyle of the Peruvian Amazon. You will soon feel at home and begin to know us as friends and companions. Indeed you will become a member of our family. You will be surprised at how quickly the language "barriers" melt away in such a warm, friendly, and caring ambience.
We begin each retreat with an orientation to the week's agenda, purposes, and goals. Our discussions will be comfortable and casual, with attention to the goals of each individual while at the same time cultivating a positive and supportive group synergy.
We'll get our feet on the ground each day with inspirational walks in different kinds of rain forest to learn about native plants, animals, and local culture. All these experiences relate directly to the deep personal holistic healing we will engage in our three nocturnal Ayahuasca healing and cleansing ceremonies. We'll spend time boating on different rivers, from the mighty Amazon to smaller tributaries, each with their own essence and character. With a little luck, we may see the legendary pink Amazon river dolphins on one of our river outings..
You will assist in the preparation of the ancient holistic medicine called Ayahuasca, The Vine of the Soul. You'll help prepare the sacred plants and learn about the role and contribution of each first-hand from real maestro curanderos of the highest order. This is a most important aspect of initiation in the ways and knowledge of the Amazonian shamanic healer as well as in receiving the healing benefits of the holistic medicine.
The varied yet harmonious disciplines represented by our truly gifted shamans reveal the dynamic scope of shamanic practices and ceremonial style first appearing in ancient Peru and continuing today.
We will convene for three (or four) nocturnal Ayahuasca healing ceremonies with maestro curanderos and invited spirits presiding.
The lovely and compelling icaros, the ayahuasqueros' magical spiritual healing songs and chants will guide our journey throughout the evening as we venture beyond the ordinary together.
The Ayahuasca medicine is a marvelous vehicle through which to realize the healing energy, power and beauty of the ceremony. It is a dynamic catalyst for deep personal healing in all aspect ... physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
articipation is voluntary and requires serious advance preparation including holistic preparation and dietary restrictions for safety and greatest efficacy.
You'll begin each day after ceremony with a ceremonial flower bath followed by group talking circles to help integrate and understand the intense and challenging ceremonial experiences of the night before.
We'll reflect and share our visions, dreams and impressions from the preceding evenings and lend shamanic interpretation to them.
We will spend quality time with our Bora, Yahua, Muruy Huitoto, and Shipibo Indian friends, sharing traditional dance and perhaps buying or trading for their beautiful handicraft made entirely from natural rainforest materials.
The indigenous people here still live a largely traditional lifestyle, although change is rapidly encroaching. You will find their friendly natural personalities unforgettable.
Some of them may participate in our Ayahuasca ceremonies as well.
You will have the opportunity for personal healing work with the curanderos according to your needs.
We'll spend a lot of time in our private Choque Chinchay rainforest biological reserve. We'll take inspiring walks in old-growth rain forest and stroll through our extensive medicinal plant gardens.
