Mai Tai Hour:
Start each evening right with an hour of Mai Tais, Beer and Wine. Sponsored by the Radisson Kauai with Hawaiian entertainment.
Aloha Party:
After a long hard day of traveling, the first party will be a relaxed one, allowing you to ease into the island's rhythm.
Gourmet pupus (finger foods) at pool/ocean-side and Hawaiian Jazz set the stage for this event. Immediately following will be a Full-Moon Beach Bon Fire (weather permitting).
Moon-Shine Party:
Kieoki's Beer is Hawaii's favorite micro-brew and they are lending us their brewery for this full-moon party. Large stainless steel vats reflect the shine of black lights, glow items and liquid lights. Technotronic-Rave is the theme.
Keioki's is concocting a special batch for us this night, served directly from the vat -- be sure and try some. Glow items provided. Wear your complimentary neon t-shirts.
Turn Back Time Party:
This evening begins with a Gay Luau on the old Kilohana Plantation. The original Carriage House serves as our dining hall and luau grounds. Take a Horse & Carriage Ride, see the Imu Ceremony (kalua pig cooked underground with hot lava rocks and banana leaves), and get your picture taken with the Hawaiian dancers. All this is even before the luau buffet begins. Gaylord's Restuarant provides the island's best luau buffet for your enjoyment.
Plus, the hula show will feature some all-male traditional authentic hula. In times past, hula was reserved for men only and these guys have perfected the art. Their awesome energy and masculinity pay tribute to their ancestors.
This Retro-Night continues as we move to the courtyard of the plantation home for the music and dancing of "gay-days" gone by.
Cave Man Party:
Smith's Tropical Paradise and Botanical Gardens hosts this primative party. The old Hawaiian feel only enhances our party's theme. Gourmet dinner followed by dance party.
Previous days at the hotel provide you with animal print fabrics, faux fur and supplies to make your own costumes. Or, if you prefer, bring a costume with you. This is the gay version of the "Flintstones" meet "Clan of the Cave Bear". A night of tunics, loin cloths and big bones.
