Your 7-day Carnival Cruise of the Caribbean takes you to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman,and Cozumel amid tranquil waters and refreshing breezes.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
Memphis, Tennessee
Your vacation begins when you board your regularly scheduled airline at your nearest major airport. In a short time you'll be in Memphis, where a YMT representative will greet you, gather your bags and escort you to your hotel. Once there, you can settle in and relax.
Day 2:
Memphis, Tennessee
Today you'll enjoy a city tour that includes historic Beale Street, the birthplace of blues music, where the legendary composer W.C. Handy wrote "Memphis Blues" and "St. Louis Blues." You will visit Overton Square, known for its bistros, shops, rhythm-and-blues clubs, local culture and cafes. You will see the Police Museum, Cotton Row and Presley Plaza that includes the statute of "The King." Then, in the afternoon, you will visit Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. Then it is on to Jackson, Mississippi for your overnight.
Day 3:
Vicksburg, Natchez, Baton Rouge
This morning, you'll tour Vicksburg, that was a strategic site during the Civil War. You'll see and tour the Military Park with a local guide that will tell you about the history and stories surrounding the Park. Then it is onto Natchez, a city where time stands still and where much of the gracious plantation manner and elegance still remains the same as it did 100 years ago. The plantation homes show the gracious way in which the wealthy families lived before the Southern Colonial or Greek Revival style of architecture. Then, it is on to Baton Rouge, LA.
Day 4:
New Orleans and the start of your Western Caribbean cruise.
Today you'll visit a Southern Plantation to see the lavish Southern Lifestyle of the period. Then, onto New Orleans with it’s world renowned restaurants, jazz joints, and an endless array of antique shops. In the afternoon, you’ll board Carnival Cruise Line's "Inspiration" for your cruise around the Western Caribbean.
Day 5:
At Sea
Enjoy all your floating hotel has to offer. The daily list of activities is mind- boggling! Masquerade Parties, Captain's Cocktail Parties, games, Jackpot Bingo, Black Jack, Roulette, Wine Tasting, Ice Carving, Food Sculpture Demonstrations and more. But then, you might decide to sit in a whirlpool overlooking the vast Caribbean Sea and let the world go by. Sip a colorful, tropical cocktail.
Day 6:
At Sea
Enjoy the tranquil waters, balmy nights and refreshing sea breezes. On a Carnival Cruise, you can do as much or as little as you like. Of course, don't forget the midnight buffet for an incredible taste and visual treat.
Day 7:
Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Montego Bay is located in the northeast of the island and is Jamaica's tourist heartland. Mo Bay (as the islander's call it) offers visitors a wide variety of interesting attractions and sight-seeing. There is never a dull moment in Montego Bay.
Day 8:
Grand Cayman Island.
Once known as "the island that time forgot", it's certain that you won't forget this slice of paradise. People from around the world come here to immerse themselves in the clearest water in the world, sunny skies, white sands and warm solitude. You may decide to go offshore for spectacular diving and snorkeling. If you wish a glimpse of the underwater world without getting wet, you can arrange a glass bottom boat ride.
Day 9:
Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel.
A unique view of ancient civilizations, ruins and natural wonders. Here you can dive into souvenirs, shops, cafes, and crystal clear waters. You may want to climb to the top of an ancient pyramid and wonder how they could build such structures.
Day 10:
At Sea
Your last day at sea should be your best. Relive all those favorite things you loved to do along the way. Reflect on where you have been and what you have seen. This has been a great adventure and more is yet to come.
Day 11:
New Orleans
Upon your arrival back in New Orleans, you'll have more time to explore this exciting city. You will have a narrated tour of the city known for its gardens, old houses, aura of aristocracy, and enjoy a walking tour of the French Quarter. You'll have time to enjoy stately mansions, world renown restaurants, jazz joints and an endless array of antique shops. This evening, you'll overnight in Gulf Port, MS., located on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.
Day 12:
Atlanta
Today you'll travel to Atlanta, Georgia, the heart of the south. Atlanta, known and loved by generations of movie-goers through Gone with the Wind, was a paragon of the southern cities at the time of the Civil War: brilliant, lavish, and cultured. After one of the most furious battles of that war - 117 days of siege by General Sherman, 90% of the city lay in ruins.
Day 13:
Nashville via Altanta City Tour
Today you'll take a tour of the sights of the 1996 Atlanta Georgia, Olympic Games. Then on to Nashville to overnight. Enroute you'll stop at the famous "Chattanooga Choo Choo" and see Lookout Mountain.
Day 14:
Nashville City Tour
Your day will begin with a city tour of Nashville. You'll see the popular old home of the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, Parthenon, Fort Nashborough, the State Capital, Printers Alley, and view the homes of your favorite Country Western performers.
Day 15:
Depart for Home
As you head for home, think of all the stories you want to tell your family and friends. You may begin planning your next YMT adventure.
