This is a two hour walking tour of Palm Canyon in the Indian Canyons of Palm Springs. These canyons were occupied by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians who lived there in peace and tranquility for over 2,000 years. The tour will pass through part of the world's largest and fabulous Palm Oasis with palms over 200 years old. An ancient streamside trail is followed while the Guide recounts unique attributes of this tribe including a story about their reservation which is shaped unlike any other. An ancient homesite location is viewed as well as centuries old grinding mortars set into solid granite that the guest can touch, reaching back into time. A wonderful glimpse into the past. This tour is rated as easy but not suited for handicapped guests. See photos and info on our website.
