Looking for the best of the Last Frontier?
Our trademark attention to safety and loads of exciting adventure make this a perfect first-adventure for campers.
First we head into Denali for some great backpacking and amazing views. Vistas stretch over expansive tundra, rolling blue glaciers, and soaring peaks, including the high one itself - Denali! While hiking we may see Dall sheep, eagles, arctic fox, caribou, and more. We cover our core curriculum to ensure safety, comfort and fun in the backcountry.
Next, we sea kayak the shimmering, pristine marine wilderness of Prince William Sound. We may see whales, sea otters, eagles, and calving blue glaciers as we explore the coastal waters of the Sound. Cutting silently through the water, we make our way between camps as we explore this beautifully lush place.
The Chugach mountains provide the ultimate alpine setting for introductory glacier travel and ice climbing. We camp high in Chugach and enjoy the excitement of ice climbing nearby seracs. We may even attempt a nearby peak!
After our scenic and fun filled travels, we return to Anchorage for a final banquet and celebration of our Alaskan adventures. This has been the best of the "Last Frontier."
