If you are interested in learning how to prepare Spanish signature dishes but you do not have too much time to dedicate to it, consider a morning in the kitchen, followed by a three course lunch.
With the assistance of a professional cooking teacher, prepare a complete menu based on regional recipes- two main dishes and dessert, during a 2 and a half hours hands-on cooking class in English, followed by lunch based on the prepared dishes, accompanied by wine.
The private program is available anytime, for two/four+ persons - depending on the venue, guaranteeing the quality of the venue, the teacher and the food and wine.
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Barcelona
One of the secrets of the cuisine of Spain is the use of the freshest ingredients. Learn about the variety and quality of Catalan food in a guided visit to the famous La Boqueria market in Las Ramblas, close to the Gothic quarter. The cook will meet you at your hotel to accompany you.
Taxi transfer from La Boqueria to the cooking lesson venue: a private home in the quiet quarter of Parc Güell; in fact just a 5 minutes walk from this Gaudi's masterpiece. Nice surroundings for a very charm 3 floors apartment with a big terrace close to the kitchen, where enjoying what they have cooked if the weather is right.
Jaume, our active and experienced cooking teacher, will cook with the help of the group, two main dishes and a dessert based on some of the most famous recipes of regional Catalan cuisine. Jaume has trained as chef in France, England, Germany and Catalonia. At present he combines his work as pastry chef in "Restaurante Agua", a well known address of Barcelona, with that of lecturer as occupational training teacher.
