This opportunity gives you a chance to discover new impressive places on your bikes. It will take you through 3 states and 4 capitals. The itinerary below presents only one of options which we designed and arranged in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The tour takes you through picturesque villages of Moravia, architectural pearls of Bohemia and natural oases. Each tour has a wide spectrum of interests and specific focus - local culture and architecture, nature, flowers, etc...

Your Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive to Vienna. After a sightseeing tour by coach we set off on our journey. We ride to the Slovak border. Accommodation and welcome dinner in hotel in capital of Slovakia - Bratislava. Cycle distance: 65km (41miles). (B/D).

Day 2: Cycling sightseeing tour around the most interesting places in Bratislava. In the afternoon we continue to ride over hills of Male Karpaty to the centre of the best Slovak wine producing area around the town of Pezinok, and Modra, a typical ribbon-village with one long street lined with barn-door houses. The local factory produces Modra’s famous pottery. Accommodation in a small hotel in Male Karpaty. In the evening we have an opportunity to taste the best local wines. Cycle distance: 40km (25miles). Day 3: Riding to the Czech-Slovak border. We will travel around quite interesting areas of WHITE CARPATHIAN Mountains, known for their traditional way of life. We can visit a glass factory in Kvetna (more than a hundred year old). Uhersky Brod, which also lies on our way is the birth place of the teacher of nations - Jan Amos Komenský (Comenius). The surrounding area is known for keeping folk traditions and that also includes preparing home-made wine and "slivovitz"(plum brandy).

For the evening we will move to the small town of Velehrad with famous Cistercian monastery from the 9th century, one of the most important pilgrimage places in the Czech republic. Dinner in 17th century wine cellar with local folk music and folk dancers. Cycle distance: 40km (25miles). (B/D).

Day 4: Transfer by coach to the "capital" of Morava , the city of Brno. We will ride 25km from the city to MORAVSKY KRAS- the largest limestone karst region of the Czech Republic with some caves which are definitely worth visiting - Punkevni jeskyne - the largest cave system and the deepest part of the gorge, Katerinska keskyne, Balcarka and the gigantic 138m mossy chasm Macocha Abbyss. Byci Skala near Adamov is a place of European archaeological importance. Cycle distance: 50km (32miles). (B/D).

Day 5: Cycling down to the south. We will visit the town of Lednice where a beautiful castle and park are situated. Lednice park is built around a baroque garden and it is the largest English park in the Czech Republic(270ha). The park is well-known for far vistas on all sides.

The most important of the park buildings are artificial castle ruin Januv Hrad, Turkish Minaret and Moorish Watertower. The whole park is combined with an artificial lake with 15 islands, this complex is also one of the most important bird reserves in the Czech Republic. The park continues with large pine woods which are hunting area. Cycle distance: 40km (25miles). (B/D).

Day 6: Cycling through Moravsky Krumlov, known for a famous exhibition of Slovanska epopej (created by Alfons Mucha), a cycle of twenty monumental canvases. Later we continue to town of Telc (UNESCO cultural reserve) and finish in southern Bohemia in the town of Trebon.

Trebon is a beautiful town of Renaissance houses lost in a countryside of large lakes, oakwoods and meadows. The international importance of the fishponds and lakes of this area is acknowledged by its status as an UNESCO biosphere reserve. This is also the town of one of the oldest Czech breweries, Regent. Cycle distance: 40km (25miles). (B/D).

Day 7: Cycling through the landscape of ponds. We ride south-west to the town of Cesky Krumlov. The castle in Cesky Krumlov is the second largest (after Prague castle). The rest of a day in the town. Accommodation in a hotel near Lipno Lake. (B/D).

Day 8: Following the bank of Lipno Lake we come to Sumava Mountains. This area which was difficult to visit under communism because it was a military zone, offers impressive countryside. This area is also a national park with quite interesting flora and fauna (e.g. Lynx, Capercaille, etc.). Cycle distance: 70km (44miles). (B/D).

Day 9: Partly by coach, partly by bike we will reach the city of Plzen, known as a town of beers. It is not only home of breweries as Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus but also a place of interesting history. There is also the Museum of Beer. Cycle distance: 55km (35miles). (B/D).

Day 10: Depending on clients’ wishes or requests we will ride and use support vehicle to reach the end of our journey-Prague. (B/D).

Day 11: Sightseeing tour of Prague or individual programme. (B).

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
