Disko Bay, by many considered to be "the real" Greenland; is the land of the Midnight Sun, gigantic icebergs, huskies and tiny isolated settlements where the old traditions are still alive. Experience Ilulissat, the town of the Icebergs- and cruise by Coastal Steamer along Greenland’s west coast via Sisimiut to Kangerlussuaq.
Ilulissat - Beautifully situated in the the Disko Bay close to the gigantic icebergs. A modern arctic town 200 km north of the Polar Circle; the biggest town in the Disko Bay area, and largest town in North Greenland. Ilulissat is world famous for the magnificent Icefjord, its gigantic icebergs and the most productive glacier of the world. It is here where ancient and modern Greenland meet in the most harmonic way.
Sisimiut, situated 100 km north of the Arctic Circle, is the most northern ice free town in the winter, and the most southern town for dog-sledging. The earliest known inhabitants of Sisimiut were from the Saqqaq culture dating back about 4500 years. Today Sisimiut is an important industrial and educational center in Greenland.
Kangerlussuaq is the best area to see Greenland wildlife such as arctic foxes, reindeer and musk oxen; it is also the only place in Greenland from where it is possible to drive by car to the Inland Ice Cap!
Enjoy close up views of the gigantic icebergs, sail to exotic and isolated settlements, where “the old world” and everyday life of the Greenlandic hunters are still to be experienced.

Day 1:
Wed COPENHAGEN – ILULISSAT (L)
Morning departure from Copenhagen on air Greenland bound for Kangerlussuaq and Ilulissat. You will be met upon arrival by your guide and transfer to the hotel. After check-in you will have the opportunity to join several optional tours: City Walk of Ilulissat, The Icebergs of Sermermiut, the unforgettable Midnight Cruise through the Icefjord, Hunter's settlement inclusive lunch, Home visit.
Overnight at the Hotel Arctic, beautifully located overlooking the Ilulissat Harbor.

Breakfast at hotel. Informational meeting at the hotel. Today is at your leisure in Ilulissat. Overnight at the Hotel Arctic, overlooking the Ilulissat Harbor.

Fri ILULISSAT - COASTAL STEAMER - DISKO BAY (B, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. 13:00 Transfer from hotel to the pier. Board the Coastal Steamer for the 14:30 departure southbound in the scenic Disko Bay. Evening stop in Qeqertarsuaq & Aasiaat. Dinner and overnight in your comfortable cabin on board the Coastal Steamer Sarpik Ittuk.

Day 4:
Sat DISKO BAY – SISIMIUT (B, D)
Breakfast on board the Sarpik Ittuk. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you cruise south along Greenland’s fascinating west coast. 10:30 Call at Sisimiut - time for a city walk and visit to the Museum. Afternoon we cruise southwards with stops in Kangaamiut and Manitsoq. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5:
Sun NUUK (B)
Breakfast on board. This morning we sail into Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. The Nuuk area is one of the most interesting geological areas in the world. The oldest traces of life on our planet were recently discovered in the Isua-area, near Nuuk, dated 3,8 billion years of age! Nuuk is also the home of the Greenland Cultural Centre, and one of the most fascinating towns to visit! Just outside the town limits you can observe fascinating wildlife, watch sea-eagles, seals and humpback-whales at play.
Transfer to the hotel. Day at leisure to explore. Overnight at Hotel Hans Egede.
We offer the following excursions:
City sightseeing in Nuuk, including visit to the National Museum.

Mon NUUK - KANGERLUSSUAQ (B)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Around noon transfer to the airport for your flight to Kangerlussuaq. Check-in at the hotel.
This afternoon you may join one of the optional excursions: By Car to the Ice Cap, or the Musk Oxen and Reindeer Safari.

Tue KANGERLUSSUAQ - COPENHAGEN (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure at 11:05 by Air Greenland from Kangerlussuaq to Copenhagen, arriving in the evening 19:15.
End of tour or additional overnight in Copenhagen.
