On the occasion of the Entente Florale competition Alpbach won the title "Europe's most beautiful flower village" for its outstanding floral achievements.

With over 160km of footpaths and hiking trails, Alpbachtal valley is a paradise for walkers and hikers of all ability levels: explore gently rolling hills, precipitous rock faces, lush green Alpine pastures and much more...

Hospitable mountain huts, huts on the high pastures and farmhouse restaurants treat one to traditional specialties such as "Graukase", tasty bacon and homemade bread. Alpbach's untouched nature and harmonious architecture complement each other and tradition and customs still play a very important part in the lives of the local population.
