Georgia is a splendid place for organising bird-watching tours. Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive in Tbilisi

Arrive in Tbilisi and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2:
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Gudauri

In the morning Tbilisi sightseeing program - The city offers a great variety of sights, most of them very ancient. All the places of interest in the Old Town are very close to each other, within a few minutes’ walk. We start our visit to Old Tbilisi from Metekhi Church (13th century), then walk up to the brick-domed Sulphur Baths - visitors will later also have an opportunity to take a sulphur bath and invigorating massage. From the Baths we head up the hill to visit Narikala Fortress (4th century) - one of the oldest fortifications in the city. Afterwards we continue to the Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral (7th century) and Anchiskhati Church (6th century). After lunch we visit the ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia - Mtskheta and its historic Jvari Church (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) - both UNESCO World Heritage sites. From Mtskheta we drive up the famous Georgian Military Highway (leading to the Georgian-Russian border). On the way visit Ananuri Architectural Complex (17th century). The drive is very scenic through high Caucasus mountains. Overnight in a hotel in Gudauri (2000m, ski resort).

Day 3:
Gudauri – Kazbegi – Gudauri

In the morning transfer to Kazbegi by bus. From Kazbegi we start our journey to see unique birds: Caucasian black grouse (Tetrao mlokosiewiczi) and Caucasian snowcock (Tetraogallus caucasicus) also Guldenstadt`s redstart (Phoenicurus erythrogaster), Great rosefinch (Carpodacus rubicilla), Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), Bearded vulture (Gypaetus barbatus), Griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus), Griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), Chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax), Bearded vulture (Gypaetus barbatus), Raven (Corvus corax), etc.

Day 4:
Gudauri – Kazbegi – Gudauri

In the morning transfer to Kazbegi by bus. Day 5:
Tbilisi – David Gareja – Tbilisi

In the morning travel to semi-desert to see unique desert birds: Roller (Coracias garrulus), European bee-eater (Merops apiaster), Hoopoe (Upupa epops), Rock nuthatch (Sitta neumayer), Wallcreeper (Tychodroma muraria), Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus), Griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), Rock sparrow (Petronia petronia), Chukar (Alectoris chukar).

Day 6:
Tbilisi – Iori Valley – Tbilisi

In the morning transfer to Kakheti region. We drive approximately 4 hours by bus and then do some walking to see birds: Black francolin (Francolinus francolinus), Pygmy cormorant (Phalacrocorax pygmeus), Imperial eagle (Aquila heliaca), Black vulture (Aegypius monachus), White-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), Short-toed eagle (Circaetus gallicus), Roller (Coracias garrulus), European bee-eater (Merops apiaster), Hoopoe (Upupa epops), Rock nuthatch (Sitta neumayer), Griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), Chukar (Alectoris chukar), etc.

Day 7:
Departure

Transfer to the airport.
