Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Prince Rupert British Columbia and meet Western Grace at the Prince Rupert Yacht Club. Welcome on board, safety briefing and depart for Lowe Inlet where we anchor for the night in front of a beautiful waterfall. Champagne and snacks followed by a delicious dinner. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 2: Spend the day exploring on shore maybe doing some fishing. A short hike takes you to a nearby lake where you can enjoy a feast of blueberries picked on the way. This is an excellent place to view both black and brown bears. Dinner will again be prepared by our wonderful chef from France. Sleep to the sound of the waterfall and leaping salmon. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 3: Blueberry pancake breakfast before departing for the native settlement of Hartley Bay. Stop for lunch on the way in a beautiful and deserted anchorage. If we are lucky we will see humpback whales on the way. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 4: Early departure heading south down Princess Royal Channel to the spectacular Kynoch Inlet. The scenery here is breathtaking and wild - equal to any of the massive Alaskan fjords. After enjoying a leisurely sail we anchor at the head of the inlet in a truly awe-inspiring environment. This is an excellent place to catch crab so hopefully be will be enjoying delicious fresh crab for dinner. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 5: A leisurely morning enjoying yet another mouth-watering breakfast complete with a selection of fine tea and coffee. Spend the day exploring the adjacent inlet by dinghy. This is an excellent place to spot grizzly bears and there is good fishing at the mouth of a nearby creek. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 6: Haul up the prawn and crab traps and set sail for a beautiful, unnamed, deserted bay. Enjoy spectacular scenery and a sea food bar-b-q en route. Anchor for the night in yet another picture perfect anchorage and enjoy good company food and wine. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 7: Mid morning departure for Rescue Bay. There is a good chance of seeing whales today. Anchor in the wide bay and go ashore for a picnic lunch cooked on an open fire. Afternoon spent relaxing, exploring ashore and maybe some fishing. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 8: Quite an early start today as wet set sail for magnificent Roscoe Inlet that winds some 21 miles through high, steep mountains that plunge straight into the sea. We will drop anchor at the head of the inlet in truly awesome surroundings. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 9: After yet another delicious breakfast we will head back down Roscoe inlet past a number of cascading waterfalls and through Gunboat passage to the small town of Shearwater. Tonight is chef's night off so you are free to enjoy the local seafood and entertainment at Shearwater's only restaurant and bar. (B) / (L)

Day 10: It is a short hop to the native settlement of Bella Bella where we will go ashore and have a quick look around. It shouldn't take long! You will have the option here to go on a fishing charter for the day if you wish. Mid afternoon we will make the short passage to Fancy Cove one of the most delightful anchorages on this coast. This is an excellent spot for cod fishing and exploring the little inlets in the dinghy. In August the water in this enchanting little bay is often thick with herring. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 11: Today you will have the option (supplement charged)to go on a float plane excursion to a secluded mountain lake where there is excellent swimming and fishing. After a picnic by the lake your pilot will fly you back to the boat. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 12: Today we head for Goldstream Harbour, a lovely little anchorage at the north end of Hecate Island. Fishing for rock fish on the way is excellent. (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 13: Today we should enjoy a wonderful sail south to Port Hardy on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. There is an excellent chance that we will see a pod of Orcas on the way so we may well spend much of the day watching these magnificent creatures. A bottle of champagne to celebrate a memorable trip! (B) / (L) / (D)

Day 14: Depart in the Morning to onward destination. (B) / (L) / (D)
