We play on 4-5 different courses which vary from spectacular mountain courses to links courses on the Mediterranean coast. The courses are equally split between France and Spain. For the non-golfers, we will provide a guide to take you walking in the mountains, on a visit to Cadaques where Salvador Dali lived or you may prefer to rest by the pool or on the beach.
Accommodation is in recently renovated, 250 year old stone Catalan houses with plenty of outside space and swimming pool. Your room will be furnished to the highest standard and includes a modern ensuite bathroom. Meals are of the highest standard and are taken at the lodge or at local restaurants and will ensure that you taste the best of the local French cuisine. Local French wines and other drinks are included with meals.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival. Welcome, drinks at Sanglier lodge, briefing and orientation, settling in, relax, dinner.

Day 2: Falgos, often rated as the most beautiful golf setting in Europe is our first day’s play. This is a 5044m, 18 holes, par 70 course. T off time at 1000, 9 holes before lunch in the club house, 9 after lunch, followed perhaps by a swim and a jacuzzi and sauna, then back to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner.

Day 3: You had a solid 18 holes yesterday, so after an early breakfast we’ll explore some of the many fascinating features of the Prades valley, and return to the lodge for dinner in the evening.

Day 4: Down to the coast after breakfast today, where you’ll play either an 18 holes, 6480m, par 73 course or a 9 hole, 2724m, par 35 course. If you only feel like 9 holes and would like to lie in a little we can take a late ‘brunch’ at the lodge and then wend our way to the coast for 18 holes in the afternoon.

Day 5: Falgos is so marvelous that it would be a pity to play it only once in the course of the week. This time we might have a picnic in the grounds, [beautifully laid out with crystal glasses, silver cutlery and great food before playing the 2nd nine holes in the afternoon.

Day 6: You haven’t played in Spain yet, so why don’t we head down to the Costa Brava and play the Figureres course, 18 holes, par 72, with a picnic arranged at the end. You might like to look around a bit before we head back to France in the evening. The drive time to Figureres is only an hour.

Day 7: An exciting lunch spot today, back in the mountains! After an early breakfast we drive over the Col d’Ares into Spain to do nine holes on the Camprodon course. At around 1230 we’ll reach La Costa Da Dalt, a famous restaurant perched high in the mountains with fabulous views into Spain with the Mediterranean shimmering to the East One delicious course follows another and the wine and laughter flow feel a great finale to your trip. We eventually stagger out of there at around 1800 and your (sober) driver takes you home.

Day 8: Departure day. You are utterly relaxed and in no mood to go back to the office, but “c’est la vie!”. All good things come to an end. There’s always next year and there’s so much you haven’t done.
