The Bulgarian state has existed for thirteen centuries; it has rich cultural and historical heritage, uniquely preserved folklore and beautiful crafts. Bulgaria is famous all over the world for the superb variety of grapes, grown on its lands. The producing of wine has ancient traditions in Bulgaria. Ages ago Thracians were known for the delicious wine they prepared, which is proved by the archaeologists - remains of ancient Thracian winery places are found in the Bulgarian lands.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and accommodation at a 3-stars hotel in Sofia. Dinner with a show program in national style restaurant. Overnight.

Day 2:
Panoramic city tour around Sofia. You will see the National Museum of History with its famous gold Thracian treasures, the Presidential residence, the historical centre of the city with its oldest church "St. Sofia" and the "Aleksander Nevski" cathedral with its priceless exposition of icons. You will also have the opportunity to by some genuine hand-made national Bulgarian souvenirs.

Day 3:
Departure for the Rila monastery - the biggest spiritual centre of Bulgaria, dating from 10th c., with magnificent Revival wall paintings and precious library. In the afternoon, departure for the town of Sandanski - the biggest balneological resort in Bulgaria. Accommodation at a 4 stars hotel, in which a swimming pool and a big medical centre are at disposal of the guests - a real oasis for your health. Free time for walking through the wonderful town park with the lake, massage, swimming. Dinner at an original local wine restaurant.

Day 4:
Free time in the morning. At noon - departure to the nearby village of Damianitsa, where the tourists will have a guided tour of the wine cellars, lasting for an hour. During the tour the tourists will have the chance to taste various types of local wines, prepared by special recipes and delicious appetizers from the region. In the late afternoon departure to architectural and natural reserve Melnik. Free time. Dinner in a wine cellar and overnight in hotel Melnik.

Day 5:
After breakfast departure to the Rojen Monastery. Sightseeing of the monastery and the unique surrounding scenery. Return back to Melnik and visit of the famous house and cellars of Mr. Kordopoulos, where the guests will get acquainted with the history of this wine center. After tasting special local wines and appetizers in the authentic cellars of the house, the tourists will enjoy a lunch in a tavern. In the afternoon - departure to the countryside named Rupite, where we shall see the "St. Petka" church and the Hot Springs (cosmic relation with Vanga) well-known Bulgarian oracle. Overnight in Sandanski.

Day 6:
After breakfast departure back to Sofia. Transfer to the airport and flight back home.
