The next four days will be in the wine country and includes private cellar tours and gourmet dinners with guest winemakers. the final days will be featured at three of the top game farms, Bushmans Kloof know for its Bushman rock paintings, Shamwari with its renowned big five game sightings, and Kwandwe a new farm which is member of Relais and Chateux. Africa's leading food and wine tour operator.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Dylan and Barak will meet you at Cape Town International Airport where you will transferred to the Radisson Hotel at Cape Town's Waterfront. After settling into your seaside room you will have the afternoon to recover from your flight or take a stroll through the Waterfront. A welcome dinner will be held at the Africa Cafe restaurant with a live Marimba band and traditional African cuisine.

Day 2: After a breakfast at the edge of Table bay, your day will start with a trip to Cape Point Nature Reserve where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet at the southern tip of Africa. Enjoy a lunch in the historic town of Simonstown which was the home to the British Navy in colonial days. Unwind at the hotel in the afternoon before a grand evening at Buitenwerwachting, voted the best restaurant in South Africa by Wine magazine 2003 restaurant guide, on the wine estate by the same name. A top winemaker will be your host for the evening.

Day 3: You will begin the day with a morning excursion to Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens. The gardens are internationally renowned for showcasing the flora of the region which happens to be the worlds smallest plant kingdom. From there you will be taken to South Africa's oldest cooking school, Silwood Kitchen where you will be given a class on traditional Afrikaans cooking followed by a lunch. The afternoon and dinner will be at leisure at the Waterfront with over 30 restaurants to choose from.

Day 4: After checking out of the Radisson Hotel, you will take a scenic drive to Stellenbosch, settled by the French Huegenots. We will stop at two of the best wine farms for a tasting and tour of the cellar. Lunch will be at leisure in Franshoek followed by check-in at the Village at Spier. Dinner will be at Le Quartier Francais, a favorite amongst foodies, where chef Margot Janse will co-host the dinner.

Day 5:
A scenic drive through the mountains of Franschoek will take us to Morgenster Olive farm, which produced the top olive oil in the world in a blind tasting at the Olive Oil awards in Italy in 2000. After an olive oil tasting, you will be driven to to the International Culinary Academy, where you will be given a cooking class on African venison cookery followed by a lunch. Relax in the afternoon before a dinner in the cellar with the winemaker at the Haute Cabriere. This farm is home to the Pierre Jourdan range of "Cap Classique" wines which are South Africa's answer to champagne.

Day 6: Today will be spent in and around the Walker Bay - Hermanus coastal region famous for it's wines and whale spotting. The town crier is can still be heard when a whale is spotted. A trip to the farms of Hamilton Russell and Bouchard Finlayson will include a tasting a private cellar tour with the respective winemakers. Both farms have scored top awards in the London International Wine Challenge. Lunch will be at leisure in Hermanus. Dinner will be a wine dinner with Spier wines and Executive Chef Craig Cormack who is a close friend of Baraks and fellow member of the Chaine Des Rotisseurs.

Day 7: We will depart after breakfast with a trip up the west coast to the Cedarberg Mountains where we will stop for a traditional Afrikaans lunch at the Khoisan Kitchen in the picturesque Oliphants river valley. After lunch you will be taken the last five miles of the trip to Bushmanskloof Nature Reserve, a member of Relais and Chateux and home to the largest collection of bushman rockart sites. Following a night game-drive you will be given a short talk on Louis Leipoldt and famous author and chef who lived in the area in the late 1800's, followed by a three course dinner paired with wines of the region.

Day 8: After an early morning tea, you will be taken on a guided tour of some of the best rock art sites in the world. Return for a full brunch and a guided tour of the 1 acre herb, fruit and vegetable gardens with Barak who was the Executive Chef here in 1999. Your afternoon will be at leisure followed by an afternoon tea and an evening rock art walk and sundowners in the reserve overlooking the beginning of the Karoo. Return for a quick change before dinner which will feature a west coast braai with the world famous Karoo lamb.

Day 9: A morning tea and a morning rock-art walk followed by brunch. After brunch we will depart for Cape Town International Airport where we will fly to the Eastern Cape city of Port Elizabeth. From there we will transfer to Kwandw Game Reserve, a Relais and Chateux member. Dinner that night will feature the game of Africa.

Day 10: Home to the "Big Five", the Kwadwe is genuine luxury in the bush. The focus here is on the wildlife, and you can expect to see lion, cheetah, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, rhino and a myriad of other game. You will experience a morning game drive followed by breakfast, lunch and a night drive and an African bush boma dinner.

Day 11: After breakfast you will transfer to Shamwari where you will experience another of the Eastern Cape's Malaria free big five spots. Lunch and an evening game drive followed by a boma dinner.

Day 12: An early morning tea followed by a game drive for the "Big Five". Return from the bush for a breakfast, lunch and evening drive. Sundowner cocktails in the bush followed by our Gala Dinner.

Day 13: Your last day will start with an early morning tea, a game drive and breakfast before you depart for Port Elizabeth to catch your return flight for home.
