The daily horse-riding distances have been designed to leave time to spend on cultural, gastronomical and leisure activities. This tour has a reduced number of participants to ensure a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
Our trips include: all meals in well-chosen traditional restaurants and charming hotels. The lorry to carry the horses, the rental of the horses, the equipment for the horses, the stable, the cleaning and the feeding for the horses. Assistance van in charge of logistics carrying: first aids kit, soft drinks, excellent local wine and pick you up in case you decide to carry your journey by vehicle rather than by horse... and all entrance tickets and visits. At least, two guides will always lead you through everyday journey.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
Bilbao.
We meet up at the hotel in Bilbao at around six in the aftenoon. The guides brief us about the trip before having dinner.

Day 2:
Bilbao - Aguilar de Campoo.
This morning, we take a transfer to the Cantabria region. We follow the coast to Picos de Europa. Once there, we start walking for around three hours to Aguilar. In the afternoon we spend some time visiting the town, and later, we get to know our horses.

Day 3:
Aguilar de Campoo.
This morning we take a ride around Aguilar, visiting the church of Santa María la Real before going back to Aguilar where we have dinner.

Day 4:
Aguilar de Campoo - Osorno.
We go to Alar del Rey to start riding along the Canal de Castilla, a great work of civil engineering from the 19th century. We stop over at Herrera de Pisuerga before reaching Osorno.

Day 5:
Osorno - Frómista.
We have a walk around Osorno, before continuing our route along the Canal. Before getting to Fromista we see its four locks. Once we are in the town, we visit the Romanesque churches of San Martín and San Pedro.

Day 6:
Frómista - Carrión de los Condes.
We become pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago for a day. We visit the church of Santa Maria la Blanca in Villarcázar de Sirga. Today we stay overnight at Carrión de los Condes.

Day 7:
Carrión de los Condes - Frómista - Palencia.
We take a transfer to the Canal to carry on riding down along its banks. Once we get to Palencia we visit the cathedral, main square and the main street with typical Castilian colonnades.

Day 8:
Palencia - Valladolid.
Today we leave Palencia early heading to Dueñas where we visit the monument complex. Our journey takes us to the county of Valladolid, stopping off at the monastery of Santa María de Palazuelos. We are in Cigales, a well- known wine area, and we can not miss a visit to a wine-cellar.

Day 9:
Valladolid - Madrid.
This morning, we take a transfer to Madrid with two stops at Coca and Arévalo. We have our farewell dinner at Madrid.
