Apart from the great impressions from the huge Tatra Mountains and all the curiosities of the Spisz countryside we will see also the Dobsinska Ice Cave in Slovak Paradise and especially the Bieszczady Mountains, the wildest part of Poland. We will travel up to the Ukrainian border, using the most romantic roads in search of the beauty. The Bieszczady are famous for the safari - animal spotting and birdwatching, exotic Orthodox churches, horse-riding on the charming hills. Come to experience it at least once in your life.

Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Krakow. Common dinner at the Krakow hotel. Accommodation.

Day 2:
We will drive from Krakow via Kalwaria Zebrzydowska (a short visit to the pilgrimage trail) and around the Babia Gora (a lovely massive and a national park). Afternoon sightseeing of Zakopane: Koscielisko Street with the gorale architecture, Villa Atma, Peksowy Brzyzek Cemetery, Wielka Krokiew Ski Centre. Accommodation and dinner in Zakopane.

Day 3:
By car (coach) to Kuznice, A funicular car to Kasprowy Wierch Mountain (1985 metres). Then a beautiful hike (2 -3 hours to Murowaniec), Czarny Staw Lake, afterwards two hours' walk to Jaworzynki Valley and back to Kuznice. Transport back to Zakopane. In the evening Highlander Folk Programme.

Day 4:
A picturesque full-day tour by coach to Slovak Tatra mountains - Tatrzanska Lomnica, Stary Smokovec and Strbske Pleso (the biggest lake in the Tatra mountains). Ruturn via Orawa and Chocholow. Dinner. Accommodation.

Day 5:
Day C is different from the Romantic Mountains I program - we will do some more serious hike! The beautiful Morskie Oko is quite beleaguered by tourists and we will thus trek on a more demanding trail to Dolina Pieciu Stawow. Participants should be in a fit condition. The hike is not very difficult and even inexperienced hikers can go. The reward is the alpine feel of the mountains and exquisite views. Dinner. Accommodation.

Day 6:
On the following day we leave Zakopane and drive again to Slovakia to visit the Spisz region. In contrast to the previous tour we will go via the Slovak Paradise, visiting the famous Dobsinska Ice Cave and admire the beauty of the Lower Tatra Mountains and similarly to Romantic Mountains I we will be accommodated in the historical Levoca. Accommodation. Dinner.

Day 7:
On the next day we continue to the Bieszczady Mountains. Spisske Podhradie, Zehra and Spisky Hrad Castle cannot be missed on the way. We will drive through the Dukla pass, visiting on the way some interesting Slovak wooden churches. Dinner. Accommodation. Back in Poland we will stay in a typical Beskid spa in Iwonicz-Zdroj.

Day 8:
On the following day we go for Sanok (the open-air museum), Lesko synagogue and the largest Jewish cemetery (kirkut) in Poland and drive around the Solina Lake to Wetlina to the borders of the Bieszczady National Park. Accommodation in Weltlina. An evening to relax. Dinner.

Day 9:
A full day trek to the Polonina Wetlinska. Visiting typical Bieszczady countryside - hilly mountails with winding valleys and exquisite views. Evening free (possible horse-riding). Accommodation and dinner in Wetlina.

Day 10:
In the early morning an organized excursion to spot wild animals (Safari: wolf, bear, lynx among others), afterwards a shorter hike around Polonina Carynska and in the evening a bonfire and a ram-roasting. Accommodation.

Day 11:
On the last day a late morning departure from Wetlina and journey back to Krakow.
