You will visit all three Baltic capitals and several other major cities, you also can see small towns and villages, because we have frequent stops for this. You can see many historical sights, but also areas which are just enjoyable by the beauty of loacal nature. You can try food of local restaurants and cafe shops, but we try to find time to visit some local homes or local farms providing home made as well.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania
Private transfer from the airport to your hotel in the Old Town of Vilnius.
Short excursion by car/ van for orientation.
Rest after the flight
Note- we can begin our tour in Tallinn or Riga. And we can we can finish our tour in any Baltic capital upon your travel plans.
Day 2
Vilnius and Trakai
In the morning you will see downtown area with Gediminas avenue, the parliament building modern city centre on the right bank of the Neris river. The main city attraction for the visitors is the Old Town. You can discover most important sights of the Old Town including - Castle Hill , The Gate of Dawn, amazing Church of St. Peter and St. Paul with two thousand stucco moldings, the University founded in 1579, Town Hall, Presidential Palace and others.
In the afternoon optional side trip to Trakai, a small Lithuanian town about 30 km from Vilnius. Main attraction of Trakai- picturesque insular Trakai Castle, situated on the island in the Galve Lake.
This tour gives you the feeling
After breakfast you will explore the city’s most important sights on a three-hour walking tour of the old parts of the city.
visiting Old town with quiant narrow streets and beautiful merchant’s houses, Toompea Castle, the XIII century Dome Church, the XIX century Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevskij, town Hall square, etc. The tour will continue by visiting environs of Tallinn by bus: the Song Festival Amphitheatre, Forest Cemetery, the ruins of St. Brigitta Convent etc
Day 3 Vilnius- Riga
Shortest way- take the road through Panevezys and Bauska
Longest way- Lithuanian open air museum in Rusmiskes open air museum, short excursion of Kaunas (second largest city in Lithuania, former capital), drive to the Hill of the Crosses-one of the symbols of catholic traditions of the country , if time permits visit to the Rundale Palace, drive to Riga
Day 4
Full day in Riga, capital of Latvia
We will walk in most attractive area of the city- the Old Town. You will see major sights of that area- The Cathedral (Dome), St. Peter’s Church, House of Cats, the castle (now the residence of Latvian president) and others. We can proceed our walk outside of the Old Town to visit Central Market (largest market in the Baltic region), to see Opera, Freedom Monument. We extend our tour to Alberta and Elizabeth street where lovely Art Nouveau buildings can be see.
In the aftrernoon- optional side trip to Jurmala- largest resort town in the Baltic region with 40 km long sandy beach or side trip to picturesques Sigulda- Cesis area is also possible. Cesis is one of the oldest towns in Latvia having a small, but historical towm is with ruins of Teutonic castle attractive area for a walk. Sigulda has become popular destination, because of many tourist attractions- cable car, Turida castle, hiking trails etc
Day 5
Riga- Tallinn
Shortest route to Tallinn- route trhough Pärnu
Longest route- a road through Cesis and Tartu to Tallinn
Day 6 Full day in Tallinn
City tour by car/van to see modern downtown, oldest and largest park in Estonia- Kadriorg park with summer palace built by famous Russian czar Peter the Great, Song Festival Ground and others. After this walk in the Old Town to see major sights of Old Tallinn, the best preserved Medieval city area in the Northern Europe. You will see major sights of Old Town-
Great Coastal Gate, city wall with defensive towers, Great Guild Hall, 605 years old Town Hall and other sights.
Relaxing afternoon after the tour or optional side trips to see some sights not far from Tallinn
(seas shore, waterfall and others)
Day 7 departure
Private transfer to the airport to the harbour to take a ferry (2-3 hours long drive) to Helsinki.
This program is an example and can be modified according to your suggestions.
Instead of 7 days we can spend more time for trip. We can add neighboring countries (Poland, Finland, Belarus) or some other destinations within Baltic countries.

Price includes service of English speaking driver ( a Historian having 8 years of experience to works as a tour guide), a car or van (depending on group size), gasoline, parking fees, possible admission fees, accmmodation at middle class (tourist class) hotels and brekafast.
We can accmmodate up to 8 people. If there will be bigger group we will rent a minibus with driver.
