On this 16-day safari tour you will be able to travel from Windhoek right through to Victoria Falls and up to Okahandja. Guests will enjoy a full day of game viewing at the famous Chobe National Park. Enjoy afternoon sundowner drives on guest farms. Guest will be accommodated in lodges.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1:
Departure from Windhoek in the morning (07:45 hrs) and drive via Witvlei and Gobabis to Zelda Guestfarm approx. 20km away from the Buitepos/Mamuno border post. After lunch the guests have some time to relax. In the afternoon game drive on the farm including the feeding of the cheetahs and the leopards. After a short rest dinner will be served. Overnight/full board Zelda Guestfarm.
Day 2:
Early departure. After the border post procedures the drive will continue via Tshootsha (formerly Kalkfontein) to Ghanzi. In the afternoon a Bushmen trail will take place followed by traditional dances and a dinner in a Bushmen village. Afterwards transfer to the lodge. Overnight/full board Tautona Lodge.
Day 3:
In the morning game viewing drive and afterwards continue to Maun via D'kar, Kuke Gate and Toteng. In the afternoon there is sufficient time available for a scenic flight over the delta. (We would offer this flight optional). Overnight/full board Maun Lodge or similar.
Day 4:
Early morning start for a full day excursion with a 4x4 vehicle to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve with lunch packs en route. Dinner, overnight and breakfast in Maun.
Day 5:
After breakfast drive via Motopi and past the Nxai Pan Park, Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Gweta to Nata. After lunch the guests have time to relax. In the afternoon 4x4 vehicles will take the group to the nearby area for a nature drive. Dinner and overnight in the luxurious tents with en suite bathrooms at the Nata Lodge.
Day 6:
After breakfast the tour will proceed northwards through the Sibuyu Forest Reserve, the Kazuma Forest Reserve and the Kasane Forest Reserve Extension to Kasane. After lunch time to relax and in the afternoon the guests will be taken on a boat trip on the Chobe in the Chobe National Park. Dinner, overnight and breakfast at the Chobe Safari Lodge.
Day 7:
After breakfast excursion in 4x4 vehicles into the Chobe National Park. In the afternoon boat trip on the Chobe. Full board and overnight at the Chobe Safari Lodge.
Day 8:
Drive via Kazungula border post to Victoria Falls. Visit to the Falls and the Arts and Craft Village. Bed/breakfast at Ilala Lodge.
Day 9:
Day at leisure. Ilala Lodge bed/breakfast.
Day 10:
Drive from Victoria Falls to Kasane. Boat transfer to Kasika Island. In the late afternoon sundowner boat-trip on the Chobe. Full board/overnight at the King's Den Lodge.
Day 11:
Travel via Ngoma Bridge and Kongola to Lianshulu Lodge. In the afternoon boat-trip on the Kwando river. Full board/overnight at Lianshulu Lodge.
Day 12:
In the morning game-viewing drive in the Mudumu National Park. In the afternoon again a boat-trip on the Kwando river. Full board/overnight at Lianshulu Lodge.
Day 13:
Continue via Kongola and Bagani to the Suclabo Lodge. In the afternoon visit the Mahango Game reserve. Full board/overnight at the Suclabo Lodge.
Day 14:
Visit the Popa Falls and proceed to Omashare River Lodge near Rundu. In the late afternoon boat-trip on the Okavango river (water level dependent). Full board/overnight at Omashare River Lodge.
Day 15:
Drive via Rundu and Grootfontein to Kombat. Visit the Hoba Meteorite and be in time for lunch at Guestfarm. In the late afternoon sundowner drive on the farm. Dinner/overnight Guestfarm Ghaub.
Day 16:
Travel via Otavi and Otjiwarongo to Okahandja. Visit the carvers' market and have lunch at a Restaurant. Afterwards proceed to Windhoek. Arrival in the afternoon.
