Paddle into paradise - Roscoe Inlet on British Columbia's Discovery Coast! We venture from Bella Bella to what some people call one of the nicest little inlets on the coast. Welcome Aboard !
Your Itinerary
Day 1 (Tuesday): Board ferry in Port Hardy for a 9:30 am departure travel across Queen Charlotte Sound and make your way into the "Inside Passage" passing by the historic cannery town of Namu and on to Bella Bella where you will meet your captain and tour guide for the next few days and welcomed aboard the Viking 1. A nite in Bella Bella (Waglisla) a coastal town of the Heiltsuk Nation.
Day 2 (Wednesday): Awaken your spirits and after a leizure breakfast we "head out" to the wilderness. Eagles are plentiful and we stop along the way to see petroglyphs and pictographs. We travel through Troup Passage which the locals call Deer Pass, after going through the narrows we drop anchor nearby for a tasty evening meal and evening paddling.
Day 3 (Thursday): Up the Roscoe - motoring and paddling we make our way through park like scenery with granite rock walls to the head of the inlet where the water on the surface, largely fresh warms enough for a swim.
Day 4 (Friday): More Roscoe - this magnificent inlet offers shelter from winds as we weave our way back towards Bella Bella. Our final afternoon we explore some beaches and "tour the town" before you board the ferry for the southbound trip to Port Hardy.
Day 4 (Saturday): Arrive back in Port Hardy around 9 am.
