The crystal clear waters of the 'Wild and Scenic' Cal-Salmon river splash through an exhilarating series of Class IV & Class V rapids separated by deep quiet pools.
Called the "Cal-Salmon" to distinguish it from the better-known Salmon River in Idaho, the river rises in the Salmon - Trinity Alps Primitive Area, one of the most isolated regions in the state. Located at the base of the Sawtooth, the only glacier in California's coastal range, the Cal-Salmon is a thrilling Class V whitewater rafting run for experts only!
With some of the tougher passages named Achilles Heel, Whirling Dervish, Last Chance, Freight Train, The Fins, and The Gaping Maw, you know this long, fast run is going to be a spine-tingling, 'white-knuckle' trip. Airfare is not included in the tour price.
A 50 % deposit is required at the time reservations are made. Written cancellation must be received from participants 30 days before your trip. The deposit is non-refundable, but may be applied to another trip in the current season should you find it necessary to postpone your trip. If you need to cancel within 10 days of your departure; all funds will be forfeited and a substitute may take your place. A fee of $25 per person will be applied to all cancellations or trip re-scheduling.
Please Note: The federal permitting agencies require a 5% use fee on federally regulated rivers which applies to all trips.
