Bhutan offers a variety of trekking programs. Trekking is one of the best ways to enjoy the splendor of Bhutan’s natural beauty. You will be trekking on the pristine subtropical and temperate forest to alpine pastures with grand views of Himalayan peaks. The treks also give you the opportunity to see the countryside and meet ordinary Bhutanese people as you walk through village and settlements. All trekkers are accompanied by well-experienced guides, cook and porters/ horsemen. We provide horses or yaks, depending on the altitude that you are trekking, carry provisions and luggage. Treks vary from very short three-day trek across low altitude to three four weeks snowman trek covering distance of 356 kilometers. The northern treks climb as high as 5,500 meters and should only be attempted by people who are physically fit.
Click on a trek name to learn more about it. They have been arranged more or less by the duration of the trek, however, the actual number of days spent trekking will be slightly less. The average trek takes about 5 to 7 hours walk every day.

Bhutan tour including 4-day Druk Path trek:

Druk Path Trek, one of the most scenic and popular treks in Bhutan, is a relatively a short trek, it takes you to an elevation of 4210m above sea level, making it moderately strenuous. You can see many remote lakes, beautiful views of high mountains and variety of rhododendron. The actual trekking days are five days. It is possible to shorten this trek but you must be in good shape to walk for more then eight hours a day. It is done either from Paro to Thimphu or Thimphu to Paro. The ideal time would be in spring when you can see many varieties of flowers.
