Join us on this amazing journey into a place where time seems to have stood still! The beautiful blue ocean, pink beaches, rolling green meadows and rich red earth surround Prince Edward Island.
Old and new are charmingly blended in Charlottetown where we're lead along cobblestoned streets by costumed actors who will introduce us to John A, Mcdonald, Jorges Etiennes Cartier and other noteable delegates to the historic 1864 Charlottetown conference that lead to confederation.
We will meander some of Prince Edward Island's most scenic routes and discover quaint villages, fishing ports and wide sand beaches edged with sand dunes, including Cavendish beach. For the more adventurous a different perspective of the Island’s cliffs a day of sea kayaking under the watchful eye of professional instructors is an option or you may choose a boat ride around a peaceful bay or down the slow moving Montague River looking for seals, mussel farms and thousands of seabirds.
At the end of each day you will be treated to the Island's superb hospitality at one of the many fine restaurants. After dining on fresh mussels and local lobster we will, undoubtedly, come across a "ceilidh". Derived from a Gaelic word meaning "a visit", a ceilidh can be a house party, a concert or an evening of Celtic and maritime music.
Note: All participants should be able to sustain at least 5-6 hours of moderated physical activity per day.
