This outstanding trek visits both the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patar a viewing point considered to be one of the best vantage points in the Everest area. Giving fantastic views over the base camp, with mighty Everest there right in front of you.
The tour starts off in Kathmandu where you can explore the markets, shrines and temples. Then we take an exciting mountain flight to the gateway of Everest known as Lukla. After arrival we begin the trek through pine forests then on to Namche Bazaar the Khumbu capital. (3440m). Thyangboche Monastery lies ahead it is from this monastery that you can have great views of Everest and Ama Dablam. We spend to nights at this delightful place before pressing on. As we make our way higher the scenery becomes more rugged and we leave the tree-line behind.
The Imja Valley is next where the village of Dingboche lies. A day will be spent acclimatizing giving you time to explore and mix with the locals. The trail now climbs steadily up following and crossing glacier moraines to the village of Lobuche next is Gorakshep from here we will divert to the Base camp and return the same day. Next day we ascend the trail to Kala Patar for the most impressive views you will ever have it is a breathtaking 360 degree panorama of the world's highest mountains. We then make our return journey back to Lukla and our flight to Kathmandu and two more nights to explore the city.
