We start with 2 days in Kathmandu Before taking our flight to the delightful village of Pokhara. We overnight in Pokhara before setting out to Nayaphul and the beginning of our journey. Then next day it is on up the valley to Trikendunga and after a steep climb just before Ulleri we will reach Gorepani. Next morning before daybreak we will ascend to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna range. You will see Dhaulagiri, Tukche, Varaha Shikhar, Annapurna, Annapurna South, Annapuna 11, 111, 1V, famous Fishtail and the Lumjung Himal all from this vantage point. Our trail now takes us to up over a ridge and down to the Modi Kola River that originates in the Annapurna sancturary. We continue on to Ghandruk then to Chhumrung by following a natural valley spectacular in itself then it is on through bamboo forests, rhododendron forests and steep cliffs that seem to climb to the sky.
This trail takes us to the Annapurna sanctuary which is considered one of the most spectacular scenes in Nepal. You can view from our lodge the massifs of Annapurna 1, 111, Gangapurna, Annapurna South, and Fishtail. During our time here we visit Annapurna Base camp and take a different route down to Himalpani (hot spring) and have a rest day here for a hot natural hot spring Bath. Then it is on down to Dhampus and then back to Pokhara for one night beside the lake next day we take our flight to Kathmandu and 2 more nights in this cosmopolitan city before leaving for home.
