Your Itinerary

Day 1:
ARRIVE ATHENS - On your arrival in Athens, assistance and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 2:
ATHENS - Morning sightseeing tour of Athens, including a visit to the awesome Acropolis. Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Royal Palace, Panathenian Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus, The Acropolis (visit the site and the museum), Thesseum, Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Monastiraki Flea Market, Modern Market, Patission Avenue, Alexandras Avenue, Vas. Sofias Avenue, Panepistimiou Avenue, Academy, University, National Library, and Omonia Square. Afternoon at leisure. Then you commence your evening with a drive to the Pnyx Hill from where you will watch the Sound & Light Spectacle. Then, visit a typical Greek Taverna in the Plaka district for dinner, including a floor show.

Day 3:
ATHENS/MYCENAE/EPIDAURUS/NAUPLIA - Drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf to the CORINTH CANAL (brief stop). Proceed to MYCENAE, visit the remains of the ancient city, including the Lioness Gate, the Tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace. Then through ARGOS on to NAUPLIA. After lunch visit EPIDAURUS and it's theatre, famous for it's remarkable acoustics. Return to NAUPLIA for dinner and overnight. AMALIA NAUPLIA HOTEL.

Day 4:
NAUPLIA/OLYMPIA - Drive through the Central Peloponnese area, passing through the cities of MEGALOPOLIS & TRIPOLIS. Arrive in OLYMPIA. In the afternoon visit the archaeological site and the Museum. Dinner and overnight. AMALIA OLYMPIA HOTEL.

Day 5:
OLYMPIA/PATRAS/RION/ANTIRION/ITEA/DELPHI - Morning drive via PATRAS to RION, where you cross by car-ferry to ANTIRION and driving through NAFPAKTOS, arrive in DELPHI. Visit the archaeological site. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight. AMALIA DELPHI HOTEL.

Day 6:
DELPHI/KALAMBAKA (Meteora) - Delphi tour continues this morning with a visit to the museum where amongst other archaeological treasures you will see the famous 5th century BC bronze statue of the "Charioteer". After lunch drive through Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight. AMALIA KALAMBAKA HOTEL.

Day 7:
KALAMBAKA (Meteora) ATHENS - Morning visit to the breathtaking Meteora Monasteries perched on towering cliff formations. View the unique icons and frescoes and marvel at the incredible panoramic landscape below. Afternoon drive to Athens via Thermopylae site of the legendary battle that was fought here between the Spartans and the Persian army. Continue through Kamena Vourla for a late afternoon return to Athens.

Day 8:
ATHENS/CRUISE/ATHENS - transfer by motorcoach from ATHENS to Flisvos Marina and embark on your cruise ship. Sail for the island of HYDRA. In Hydra you have time at leisure for strolling, shopping or swimming. In the early afternoon sail for the island of AEGINA, passing through the narrow straits separating the Peloponnesian coast from the island of POROS(pictured). Lunch is served after sailing. Short visit to Poros. Upon arrival in Aegina you can either join the excursion to the Temple of Aphaia (additional cost) or walk around the main town. Finally, embark for the sail back to Athens. Arrival at Flisvos Marina and transfer to ATHENS.

Day 9:
ATHENS/CAPE SOUNION/ATHENS - Morning at leisure for shopping and exploring. In the afternoon you'll drive along the coastal road, past the wonderful beaches of GLYFADA, VOULIAGMENI, VARKIZA and countless coves, one has a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf. A crowning feature of the tour is CAPE SOUNION, dominated by the spectacular TEMPLE OF POSEIDON overlooking the Aegean Sea. Breathtaking sunsets are a normal site. Return to Athens in the early evening.
