Enjoy that special atmosphere while discovering the rivers and canals, combined with the charm of a cosy hotel with their friendly and attentive hosts. Looking for a perfect balance between activity and tranquility? You've found it! In the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom waterway cruising is already for a long time a known and loved way to enjoy holidays. Since 1999, it is possible to travel through Belgium as well!
Your Itinerary:
Day 1 - Friday - Welcome on board in Oudenaarde, this wonderful city was a mediaeval center of textile manufacture.
Day 2 - Saturday - Following the canals to Bruges, named "Venice of the north" more than once.
Day 3 - Sunday - Veurne, historic city in the hinterlands of Flanders coast.
Day 4 - Monday - Diksmuide, city at the "Ijzer" river, W.W.I is commemorated here.
Day 5 - Tuesday - Bruges, Well worth a second day.
Day 6 - Wednesday - Over the "Schipdonk" canal to Deinze, known for its carillon concerts, museum and zoo.
Day 7 - Thursday - Via rivers Lys and Scheldt to Ename, where an archeological site and a nice museum await you.
Day 8 - Friday - Return to Oudenaarde. Goodbyes after a healthy breakfast around 10AM.
