If you have limited time the closest and best view of Mt. Everest (8848m) is from Syangboche (3810m). There is an airstrip for small aircraft at Syangboche which is not in operation for a quite a while. Syangboche airstrip is about an hour easy walk from Namche Bazar; the nearby villages of Khunde and Khumjung are easily accessible from Syangboche. There are several lodges and high-grade accommodation in and around Syangboche. The Everest View hotel made by Japanese in 1980 to cater luxury tourist is still in operation though it is severely handicapped by the lack of smaller aircraft to fly in and out of Syangboche airstrip. From Syangboche you get to see great view of sunrise and sunset over Mt.Everest pictrique Amadablam (6812m). The other mountain peaks very close to Syangboche is Thamasserku. All these lofty white peaks would be just in front of you.
After flying in to Lukla, you start walk to Phakding and then enter into the home of Sherpa people perched in the nook and corner of the valleys known as Khumbu. After Phakding the trail gradually climbs to Jorsale where you will stop for a while at the Park Office and take the steep but gradual walk to Namche Bazar. Stay overnight at Namche bazaar. Next day climb to the airstrip at Syangboche. After 2 nights at Syangboche return to Lukla to take flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
Day 02 In Kathmandu. Free day to explore Kathmandu on your own.
Day 03 Fly to Lukla (2800m). Trek to Phakding (2623m)
Day 04 Namche Bazaar (3445 m).
Day 05 Syangboche (3810m).
Day 06 Visit Khunde & Khumjung. Overnight at Syangboche.
Day 07 Return to Lukla (2800 m)
Day 08 Fly to Kathmandu
Day 09 In Kathmandu.
Day 10 In Kathmandu,
Day 11 Transfer to airport. Depart Kathmandu
