Help your guide paddle the Clearwater River learning of river geography and river ecology as you go, taking in the flora and fauna in Lewis fashion and getting a small taste of the 111 days the expedition spent in Idaho (of course, you'll miss out on the grizzly attacks, snow drifts and near starvation but we figured you'd be OK with that). So when you return home, you'll have your very own journals, memories of your own voyage of discovery.
Custom trips and catering for your family, school or scout group, company retreat, family reunion, or wedding & birthday party can be arranged. Let us know your scheduled time of arrival and we will work out a tour that will work best for you. We can split your group for camp only experiences or river & camp combination tours. Our river craft are safe, comfortable, and stable. They consist of 34' & 29' historic fur-trade era longboats. Custom-made from fiberglass and kevlar to look like the original birch bark models of long ago. Our largest boats are 5 feet wide with 16 paddling positions. Depending on water levels, rafts may be substituted for safety's sake.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: 4 hours on the river - 19 river miles. Riverside deli lunch, camp activities, BBQ dinner, campfire, songs & stories.
Day 2: Breakfast and camp activities all morning, then enjoy lunch and depart camp for 3 more hours on the river - 12 river miles.
Notes:
Airfare is not included in the tour price.
Half day and full day trips also available for $80 to $190.
