The Complete Valley of the Kings is an expensive but well worth it. Subject to final approval from Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, and sponsored by the Archaeological Institute of America, this tour will visit virtually every Royal Tomb in Egypt famed Valley of the Kings. From Thutmose I to Horemheb, from Rameses I to Tauseret, from Setnacht to Rameses XI you will be able to visit tombs that have never been open to the general public. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

* Itinerary

- Day 1 (US/CAIRO)

Fly from your home to New York and join our EgyptAir flight to Cairo

- Day 2 (CAIRO)

Upon your arrival in Cairo you will be met by Museum Tours staff and taken to the 5-Star Mena House Hotel, the "Palace at the Foot of the Pyramids". There will be a Welcome Reception in the evening.

- Day 3 (GIZA)

This morning we will tour the Giza Plateau, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Solar Boat museum, the Valley Temple of Khafra and the Sphinx. After lunch you can relax at the hotel or join us for a walking to of the Plateau, visiting the pyramids of Khafra and Menkaura.

- Day 4 (SAQQARA - LUXOR)

This morning we will drive to Saqqara where we will see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the Pyramid and causeway of Unas and the Pyramid of Teti with its pyramid texts. After lunch we will visit the outdoor museum at the ancient capitol of Memphis before heading to the airport for our flight to Luxor. Upon arrival we will transfer to the Pavilion section of the Winter Palace Hotel.

- Day 5 (LUXOR)

Today we will begin our exploration of the Valley of the Kings. Those who wish may join us for a hike along the ancient trail from the workers village of Dier el Medina, over the hill, to the Valley of the Kings. Today we will explore 4 tombs, conducting our exploration in chronological order. First, we will visit the seldom seen tomb KV20, burial place of Hatshepsut. This will be followed by visits to KV 34, tomb of Thutmose III, and two royal reburials, KV38 (Thutmose I) and KV42 (Thutmose II). After a late lunch we will visit the temple of Hatshepsut at Dier el Bahri.

- Day 6 (LUXOR)

We will return to the Valley of the Kings to continue our exploration of the tombs of the Kings of the 18th Dynasty, visiting KV35, tomb of Amenhotep II, KV43, tomb of Thutmose IV, and KV46, tomb of Tuya and Yuya (the mother-in-law and father-in-law of Amenhotep III). We will end our day with a drive to the Western Valley to visit KV22, the tomb of Amenhotep III.

- Day 7 (LUXOR)

Today we will complete our visits to the 18th Dynasty Royal Tombs, exploring KV55, the Amarna Royal Cache, KV62, the tomb of Tutankhamun, KV23, the Western Valley tomb of Ay, and KV57, the tomb of Horemheb.

- Day 8 (LUXOR)

Today we will take a break form the tombs and spend the day visiting Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple and the Luxor Museum.

- Day 9 (LUXOR)

We will begin exploring the tombs of the 19th Dynasty Pharaohs with KV16, the tomb of Rameses I. We will then visit 3 of the most famous, but least seen tombs, KV17, tomb of Seti I, KV7, tomb of Rameses II, and KV5, tomb of the sons of Rameses II. After a late lunch we will visit the Ramessium, mortuary temple of Rameses II.

- Day 10 (LUXOR)

Today we will complete our visits to the 19th Dynasty Royal Tombs, exploring KV8, tomb of Merenptah, KV10, tomb of Amenmesse, KV15, tomb of Seti II, KV47, tomb of Siptah, KV14, tomb of Tausert and Setnakht, and KV13, tomb of Bey.

- Day 11 (LUXOR)

We will cross the Nile and begin our exploration of the tombs of the kings of the 20th Dynasty. Having visited the tomb of Setnakht yesterday, we will begin with KV11, tomb of Rameses III. We will also visit KV3, tomb os the sons of Ramese III, KV2, tomb of Rameses IV. After lunch we will visit Medinet Habu, Mortuary Temple of Rameses III.

- Day 12 (LUXOR)

Our final day of exploration will include KV9, tomb of Rameses V and Rameses VI, KV1, tomb of RamesesVII, KV6, tomb of Rameses IX, KV18, tomb of Rameses X, and finally KV 4, tomb of Rameses XI. You will notice we are not visiting the tomb of Rameses VIII. If we could find it we would visit it, but it has not yet been discovered.

- Day 13 (LUXOR - CAIRO)

Your last day in Luxor is free to relax, explore new sites or revisit favorite old sites. this evening we will fly to Cairo and transfer to the Nile Hilton.

- Day 14 (CAIRO)

The day will be devoted to the Cairo Museum. In the evening, we will visit the world famous Khan el Khalili bazaar for our farewell dinner.

- Day 15 (CAIRO - USA)

We will depart from the Cairo airport for our return flights to the USA, hopefully with a checklist full to overflowing.
