We will start our journey with visiting the small town of Wlodawa which was said to be the town of 3 cultures (Christian, Jewish and Orthodox) and it has until now a beautiful Jewish synagogue. The nearby concentration camp in Sobibor was established in 1942 by Nazi and approximately 250 000 people died there. In October 1943 inmate Peczorski launched the uprising. About 300 Jews escaped but most of them died on the way.
From Sobibor we will head to Zamosc where we will have a short walk through the Old Town (entered onto the UNESCO list). Our next stop will be the remnants of the extermination camp in Belzec, the cruelest Nazi concentration camp. Although many thousands of people were imprisoned here, only 1 person survived. We will visit the museum and afterwards return to Lublin.
