Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Udine/Cormons train station and transfer to your accommodation by private vehicle. Greeting by hosts and hotel check-in. Free time to explore the surroundings before enjoying dinner at your hotel or at a local restaurant.
Day 2: Breakfast. Morning: Guided excursion to Cividale del Friuli, a little gem in the eastern foothills of Friuli, known for its delicious Gubana (an exquisite type of strudel filled with apples, pine seeds and raisins), top wines and lovely atmosphere that you can breathe strolling around the narrow cobble stone streets leading to the charming main square. Visit to an important wine estate in the Colli Orientali wine district & wine tasting with local specialties. Afternoon: Stop at another winery producing DOC wines before reaching your hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner at your hotel or at a local restaurant.
Day 3: Breakfast. Morning: Guided excursion to Aquileia, the most important archaeological site in northern Italy. You'll see the forum, remains of public baths and private houses, Roman roads with visible chariot tracks and the ancient Basilica which hosts stunning Byzantine frescoes and one of the largest and most spectacular early-Christian mosaic floors of the West! Visit to an important wine estate in the Aquileia wine district & wine tasting with local specialties. Afternoon: Stop at another winery producing DOC wines before reaching your hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner at your hotel or at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Breakfast. Hotel check-out, transfer to the train station and arrivederci!
