This tour caters for a maximum of 4 people on board of a private sail cruise boat departing from Duino harbor where the skipper will be waiting for you to welcome you on board and start a splendid day around the gulf of Trieste. Your adventure begins soon after leaving the harbor, when the imposing Duino Castle, an ancient manor now belonging to the Turn und Taxis family, comes to your sight.
You'll be astonished by its incredible location, atop a huge towering rock formation plunging into the sea below. You'll sail along the cliff of the White Lady and learn about its legend, cruise past the beautiful Nightingales and Sistiana bays, admire the cliff of Dante before reaching the Miramare Castle, the romantic residence of Maximilian from Hapsburg and Charlotte from Belgium enshrined in the coastal rocks, where it is possible to cast anchor and enjoy a relaxing swim in the warm waters of the Adriatic.
Then help set the sails, take the helm or just lie back on deck and relax as you cruise by the city of Trieste and enjoy its spectacular views on your way towards Muggia, a delightful seaport town that looks like a miniature Venice, with a beautiful 13th century cathedral. Free time in Muggia to explore this picturesque town. Homeward bound, you will have the opportunity to admire Trieste and the whole gulf one last time from another perspective as they slide by and light up before your eyes. Your cruise will come to an end in Duino harbor in the early evening after a fabulous day!!!
