07:00 Transfer from San Jose to Puerto Viejo ( 4h ) in the Atlantic side of Costa Rica, this area is where the Costarican afro-caribbean culture has its roots with its music, dances, dishes and the rasta culture, all this surrounded by worderful rain forest and pristine beaches.

Day 03:

07:00 Visit to Cahuita National Park, this park is an exiting place to practice the snorkeling due to its rich coral reefs alll along the park, also is a good place for walking the trails to enjoy the flora and fauna
12:00 Transfer from Cahuita to Turrialba( 4h ).

Day 04:

08:00 Hike to the Volcano's crater this magestic volcano is one of the few that allow you to explore the interior of its craters, fumaroles ( boiling mud holes ) and the exterior part of it's ring, the vegetation surrounding this colosus is a cloud forest and paramo forest as well du to its elevation 3,323 metres over sea level providing spectacular views of the central Valley, Guarco Valley , as other neighboring volcanoes such as the Irazu or Barva.

06:30 Departure time from Turrialba Lodge to Irazu Volcano ( 2h )
This is an estrato volcano of irregular subconical shape with
3 432m of elevacion and 500 square km of total area.
The main crater has a diameter of 1050 m and has 250 - 300 m deep, with a permanent green - yellowish lagoon due to the high concentration of sulphur.
12:00 meeting time with the local guide at the KM 80 in the panamerican high way to hike down to the Savegre Lodge (4h) this farm of 400 hectares of which 250 are primary forest and the rest is dedicated for the harvest of apples, peaches, plumbs and vegetables
This cloud forest is a refuge for hundreds of species of birds including the Mayan Idol the Quetzal.

08:00 Visit to the lodge trails for some bird watching
12:00 Transfer from Savegre to the town of Sierpe ( 3h )
Free afternoon to rest and enjoy the surroundings

Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
08:00 Boarding time for the boat that will take you to the Corcovado Park surrounding, this boat ride takes around 1:45 H across
We will arrive to the Corcovado Tent Camp, this simple but comfortable set up is beach front and surrounded by a rain forest.
Hike to Rio Claro is (optional) this is a 20 min walk to this crystal clear water river that invites you for a swimm.

Breakfast - Cold Lunch - Dinner and Park Fee
07:00 Tour to the Corcovado National Park with a local guide
Ones at the park you will hike the trail to the waterfall and just plain enjoyment of jungle immersion this park was the declared by the National Geographic Society as the most biologically intense place on earth, the park protects several endangered species and has the biggest population of scarlet macaws.
15:00 Meeting time with the boat to go back to the lodge.

07:00 Departure time for the trip to San Gerardo de Rivas near Isidro del General town ( 3h 30min )on the way to the Chirripo National Park 3,820 metres over sea level the highest mountain in Costa Rica, at the summit we can still find two little lakes of glacial origin date 30 million years ago..
There is an immense variety of habitats due to the different elevations in this vast extension of protected area. Lodging at Uran Lodge

Day 10:
Breakfast - Park Fee
06:00 Begining hike to Chirripo ( 5 - 8 H depending on the physical condition of the hiker ) For this hike is recomended to bring: poncho, a good thick coat, chap stick, hiking shoes, pocket knife, gloves, long sleeves shirt, sleeping bag, thick socks, tooth paste, candies or chocolates.
We will start the hike only with a bag pack with the necessary stuff, carriers will be hired to deal with the heavy stuff ..

08:00 Hike to the Summit. Lodging at Chirripo Lodge

Day 12:
12:00 Meeting time with the Bus for the transfer to Dominical (2h).

Day 13:
Breakfast - Park Fee
07:00 Transfer from Dominical to San Jose, with a stop at the l Manuel Antonio National Park in the central pacific, this park combines three white sand beaches and a rain forest with three trails in which a lot of fauna can be seen, such as sloths, 3 species of mokeys, iguanas, coatimundies and many others.
