The climbing paths of the Brenta without doubt belong to the most famous and most impressing "iron ways" of the world. Spectacular towers and rock faces rise above moraines of rock and firm fields. The routes, perfectly secured with ropes and hooks, lead up to the high peaks, passing ladders, rock bands and gaps.
Day 1: arrival, welcome and climb up to the refuge.
Journey to Madonna di Campiglio. We will meet at 16.00 h at the bottom station of the Grosté funicular, where your guide welcomes you, checks the equipment and briefs you on the program. By funicular, we go up to the passo Grosté and, after a short hike, reach the Grost refuge (2438m), where we will spend the first night.
Day 2: Bocca del Tuckett
The first day of our tour starts with a practical instruction in climbing and securing techniques. The Benini path leads over the Bocca del Tuckett (2648m) to the Tuckett refuge (2272m). Walking time ca. 4 hours. We also have the possibility of climbing a peak "on the way", for example the Cima Sella (2917m).
Day 3: Bocchette Alte
This high alpine climbing path leads us to the beautifully situated Alimonta refuge (2600m) and allows us to experience the real fascination of the Brenta.
Day 4: Bocchette Centrali
The spectacular path winds over exposed bands in the heart of the Brenta - with a magnificent close view on the famous Guglia di Brenta! Overnight stay at the Tosa refuge (2439m).
Day 5: Sentiero Brentari - Cima Tosa
Under the spell of the three-thousand-metre mountains of the Brenta - the Cima Tosa, the Crozzon di Brenta, the Cima d'Ambiez - to the Agostini refuge (2410m). We have the possibility of climbing the Cima Tosa (3173m), depending on the weather conditions and the participants' abilities and physical condition.
Day 6: Via Ferrata Castigluioni – descent
Exposed, vertical iron ladders lead us along a bold route to the Bocchetta dei Due Denti (2859m). Descent to the 12 Apostles refuge (2490m). After a break, we hike down to the Val Rendena and travel back to our starting point in Madonna di Campiglio by bus. Overnight stay at an inn in Madonna di Campiglio.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast it is time to say good-bye to the impressing Brenta Dolomites.
