The glaciers of the Schnalstaler Alps offer the ideal surroundings for late season ski touring. The funiculars make the high peaks of the glaciers more easily accessible; some of the ski tours also start from the valley. Instructional program: Off piste skiing technique, climbing with skins, form a climbing row, kick-turns, avalanche procedure, practical instructions for the avalanche transceiver, orienteering, meteorology, safety and technique on glacial ice.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome
At 6 pm, your guide welcomes you at the hotel and explains the program of the week. Equipment check and distribution of supplementary equipment. At dinner, you'll have the chance to get to know your fellow skiers.
Day 2-Day7: Ski touring
On various ski tours, we will practice the theory. The following excursions are planned, if the weather conditions allow to do so: Punta Finale (3516m), La Palla Bianca (3730m), the Similaun (3606m), two day excursion with overnight stay at the Similaun refuge (3015m) and a 1900mv descent, one excursion in the Ortler group (transfer by taxi).
Day 8: Departure
Our ski touring week ends after breakfast.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
Included:
- Ski guide / ski and mountain guide and instructional program;
- 7 nights with half board;
- Organized transfers;
- One night with half board at the Similaun refuge (depending on the weather conditions);
- Transfer from / to Bolzano railway station or airport.
Not included:
- Beverages and lunches;
- Funicular and skilift fares (depending on the tour program).
