Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Hometown - Istanbul. Arrival to Istanbul, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. Includes: (D).
Day 2: Istanbul. Enjoy a full-day Istanbul City tour. In the morning, you will visit to Blue Mosque, Ancient Hippodrome and famous Topkapi Palace. After lunch visit St. Sophia and the 6th Century Byzantine Cistern. Other highlights are splendid Grand Bazaar with its more than 4000 shops and stalls and Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent. In the afternoon, visit city walls and the Asian side of the city. Overnight in Istanbul. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Istanbul - Gallipoli - Troya - Behramkale (Assos) (246 Miles). Morning departure, driving from Istanbul throughout Thrace, past Saros Bay. Visit Dardanelles on the other side. After that drive to Canakkale, where you will see the memorials commemorating the World War I Battle of Gallipoli. During the afternoon, you will visit the Ancient Homeric City of Troy where Greek and Trojan heroes fought the Trojan War for the honor of beautiful Helen. Also visit its legendary walls, buildings and famous wooden horse. Later you will continue south to the picturesque fishing village of Assos, including the Temple of Athena. Overnight in Assos. Day 4: Behramkale - Bergama - Izmir (166 Miles). After breakfast drive to the acropolis of ancient Pergamon, famous for work done by the great physician, Galen. Sights include the Altar of Zeus, and the Asclepion, a famous Roman medical center. Continue to Izmir which is an Aegean Metropol of Turkey. Overnight in Izmir. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Izmir - Efes - Kusadasi (59 Miles). Drive to Ephesus upon arrival to embark on another significant historical town once having 250,000 inhabitants. Full day visiting the great Byzantine and Roman ruins still magnificently in place and picturesque. Ephesus has been an important city of Asia Minor in many aspects. Firstly, it was a place of pilgrimage for the worshippers of Goddess of Fertility. Artemis or Diana was the supreme cult in the region and Ephesians erected a spectacular temple for her, considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After that visit St. Paul preached at the great theater of Ephesus in 54 AC It was furthermore the place where Virgin Mary spent some years. House of Virgin Mary place of semi-pilgrimage, the reconstructed temple of Hadrian and Library of Celsus Arcadian Way, Basilica of St. John are highlights. Overnight in Kusadasi. Day 6: Kusadasi - Priene - Milet - Didim - Bodrum (131 Miles). In the morning visit to Priene, Milet and Didyma for the magnificent Greco - Roman temples, theaters and colossal Temple of Apollo in Didyma. Overnight in Bodrum (Halicarnassus). Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Bodrum. Visit St. Peter Castle with its archaeological museum. Then visit the ruins of Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Overnight in Bodrum. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Bodrum - Dalyan (115 Miles). Leave Bodrum in the morning, drive to Dalyan. Local fishermen take you out in their boats to visit Caunos that is a 5000 year old Carian city, than go to Koycegiz, Iztuzu Beach. Overnight in Dalyan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Dalyan - Patara - Kalkan (105 Miles). Leave early morning for visiting Kalkan, stopping en route at the ruins of Patara. Visit the Necropolis, theater, basilica and baths. Arrive in Kalkan early afternoon. Overnight in Kalkan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: Kalkan - Demre (Myra) - Antalya (125 Miles). Leave Kalkan early in the morning for visiting St. Nicholas, in Demre. After that you will drive to Antalya, on the shores of Mediterranean. Overnight in Antalya. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Perge - Aspendos - Side - Antalya (94 Miles). Today highlights are Roman Cities Aspendos, Side and Perge. First stop will be Perge, home to ruins of Hellenistic area. The Roman Theater at Aspendos is one of the best preserved. Side will be third stop on the way. It is the famous for its seaside theater, Agora and Roman Bath. Drive back and overnight in Antalya. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 12: Antalya - Istanbul - Hometown. Morning transfer to the airport for your international flight to your country. Includes: (B).
