I have taught many people how to sail. I truly enjoy teaching sailing and I am a talented teacher. I am a certified sailing instructor with American Sailing Association (ASA) and I can provide private or group lessons.
My approach to teaching sailing is very "hands-on". I will hand you the helm and let you feel the boat as we go through different maneuvers. I have taught sailing to first time sailors, intermediate sailors and experienced sailors getting ready for chartering and coastal cruising. Teaching sailing well is actually surprisingly difficult, because there are three things that are required at the same time.
1.The instructor must have excellent teaching skills.
2.The instructor must be an expert sailor.
3.The instructor must be able to let go and allow the student to experience the boat, wind and waves.
I have spent many years providing San Francisco sailing lessons and refining my sailing and teaching skills. I really enjoy teaching others the joy of sailing San Francisco Bay. I will gladly teach any or all passengers on a trip.

Weekday (Mon - Thur) $ 115 per hour (3 hour minimum)
Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) $145 per hour (3 hour minimum)
