About Your Instructor, David Vendetti
David started yoga in the Iyengar tradition with Patricia Walden in Boston 1993. He has made several trips to study various yoga styles in India, but predominantly studied Ashtanga. Currently his work is a profound blend of vinyasa flow, bodywork, breathing and hands-on adjustments to safely move a practitioner to his or her own highest potential. Originally classically trained for Dance in New York, David brings a rare combination of choreographic sequencing and core centering to his yoga teaching. David is co-director of Back Bay Yoga Studio in the heart of Boston, MA.
"I have studied Ashtanga, Kriya, Kripalu, Jivamukti, Forrest, Iyengar and Power Yoga. To be honest, however, I feel that learning is deepest when you face yourself alone and learn from your own body. When you develop your own practice it has no name, no forms; that is true yoga. I have studied so much and with so many different teachers for whom I am very grateful."
"I am continually humbled and in awe at how much I still have to learn. If you are just starting yoga, study everything. Find what you love, grow in love. If something restrains you, discard it. All yoga can teach you something, don't be picky, be open, learn it all. Only then can you really know what works. Yoga is self-study. It is about you and your ego and eventually it is about nothing: the nothing in everything."

Tour Itinerary
Days 1-8: Sabine Hills
In the heart of the Sabine Hills—less than an hour from Rome — lies a peaceful haven surrounded by magnificent views, lush gardens, a natural spring, a pond and a swimming pool. From this peaceful, rustic setting, ideal for spiritual practice, we’ll embark on spectacular daily loops and hikes through olive groves, woodlands and rolling hills to hot sulfur springs, medieval sites and local festivals. We’ll swim in nearby rivers and springs and spin to Umbrian towns—then return for daily yoga practice that explores yoga as an enhancement to cycling.
By incorporating breathing, cycling-specific yoga poses and relaxation techniques, we’ll improve our performance both on the road and beyond. Our yoga instructor for our fall camps is the nationally certified Luciana Lo Presto—an expert at tailoring yoga practice to specific sports and body types. Let her share her passion for yoga with you!
