Rolling out of the Kyrgyz Alatau, the Ala-Archa, Alamedin and dozens of parallel canyons are good for everything from picnics to mountaineering. They are the most accessible gorges from Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Drive only 40 km from Bishkek and spent two weeks in beautiful mountains!
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Your guide meets you at the airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital, and takes you to a hotel, where you can recuperate after your long flight.
Day 2: The day starts with a detailed briefing of what the rest of the trip holds. Then we start our adventure! We head to the Ala-Archa State Nature Park where breathtaking mountain scenery and an abundance of wildlife await us. We enjoy easy trekking (2-3 hours) and an outdoor lunch. Our first camping is located not far from a small waterfall.
Day 3: Today we hike up to the stone hut at the Ratzek stop (3200 m), it takes us about 3 hours. You can admire the pearl of the Kyrgyz mountain range, Crown peak from this place. For those who would like to have training of their climbing skills we offer to climb rocks or ice coached by our experts with great experience in mountains. Overnight in tents.
Day 4: We hike up to the shoulder of Uchitel peak (3800 m) for taking fantastic photos from there and then return to the Ratzek stop (4-5 hours). Overnight in tents.
Day 5: Our destination for this day is the steel hut beside Ak-Sai glacier (4000 m.), from where we see most demanding and dramatic mountains with serious climbing routes (3-4 hours). We use ropes for glacier walking. Overnight in tents.
Day 6-7: We trek over the Teke-Tor pass (4000 m) to the Teke-Tor gorge and then down to the Alplager. Overnight in tents.
Day 8: We spend day in the Alplager, relax and take a sauna.
Day 9-11: These days we trek along the Ala-Archa gorge to the Tuiuk-Suu glacier, over Tuiuk-Suu pass (4000 m) to the Altyn-Tor and Alamedin gorges. Overnight in tents.
Day 12: Our bus waits for us at the spa Teplye Kluchi and we come back to the civilization and accommodate in a hotel in Bishkek.
Day 13: Today the capital of Kyrgyzstan is ours to explore. We visit Historical museum and other sightseeing attractions in Bishkek. During dinner we take the unique opportunity to listen to the Manaschi (a singer performing the national Kyrgyz epos, Manas).
Day 14: You depart from Kyrgyzstan. We enjoyed hosting you in Central Asia and hope to see you once again!
