We will collect you from the airport when you arrive, and transport you to the agriturismo. We will get some lunch (usually in the local bar), then go for a ride together for an hour or two, to get used to the bikes. Each member of the group is asked to ride in front for a few minutes on this ride to get an idea of each individual’s riding style and allow your guide to adapt to suit. We ask each group what they want from their holiday, whether they prefer more riding or sightseeing, what sort of speeds they like to ride at, how often they like to stop, if they would like to stop at picturesque points for photos etc. If the group would like a DVD of their trip, we will introduce our videographer who will discuss what kind of footage to take.
Each day your guide will meet you at the Agriturismo at around 9 am (8am on the day of the Ducati tour) and will guide you on that day’s ride over the mountain passes. We stop every hour to hour and a half for a drink and at lunchtime to eat. We spend a few hours in the towns we visit and take in the major sights, then ride back over more mountain passes. Most evenings we return to the Agriturismo at around six, where you will have your dinner, and can sit and enjoy a drink. On the last day we will take you back to the Airport.
Accommodation is in a traditional Agriturismo (working farm/hotel) with swimming pool (only available June, July and August), and each day we set out to a different destination, returning in the evening for a traditional Tuscan meal. This allows you the opportunity to relax and not have to worry about packing up all your gear and moving on again every day or two. If you would prefer to come with the family or a group of friends and stay in a house or apartment on a self catering basis, please contact us and we can arrange it.
We use KTM supermotos, as they are ideally suited to the twisty Alpine roads, and are light and agile to ride. The aim is to offer you an experience you will remember for the rest of your life! Your tour guide is a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists, and has 25 years riding experience.
