About one quarter of US citizens have German roots. Journey to the German Spirit is an unique invitation to experience an in-depth initiation into the “German Soul”. Her great centuries of spiritual aspiration - and the abyss of her Faustian ambition. Through meetings with outstanding people and visits of impressive natural, cultural and historical locations throughout Germany you will come to understand her rich cultural heritage.
There is the legendary German genius with great composers, romantic philosophers, ingenious scientists and exacting technicians. There is the past shadow from the Nazis and imperialistic militarism. We will get a glimpse of this dark side in the castle Wewelsburg, used by the SS order.
But mainly we will experience the most beautiful and meaningful expressions of the German Spirit, like the highly cultural City of Weimar and mystical places deep inside romantic forests.
We will be hosted for special dinners and have meetings with typical Germans, combining the spiritual as well as the creative side of their national spirit.
