Tour Itinerary

Auckland - Coromandel (140km): Beaches, Bays and Kauris. Go via Clevedon, Thames and Kauri Grove to the Coromandel peninsula. Visit the Cathedral Cove or Hot Water Beach.

Coromandel - Whakatane (260km): Orchards, Gold an Beaches. Drive via Tauranga and Mt. Manganui to Whakatane. In the afternoon you can take the helicopter to active marine volcano, White Island and have guided tour there, go Swimming with the Dolphins or do a bushwalk at Kohi Point.

Whakatane - Gisborne (240km): East Cape and Rain Forests. Drive to Opotiki. Do a short walk at Hukutaia Domain and see the burial tree. Continue through the Waioeka Gorge to Gisborne, see Grey's Bush on the way.

Gisborne - Napier (230km): Art Deco, East Coast and Captain Cook. Visit Kaiti Hill and the Millennium City. Drive via Mahia Peninsula and Morere Springs to Napier. In the afternoon you can visit the Gannet Colony or do a walk through the Art Deco Town. End this day with a wine-tasting of the Hawke's Bay wines.

Napier - Rotorua (250km): Wineries, Art Deco and Thermal Areas. Drive via Taupo (optional Bungee Jump) and Huka Falls to Rotorua. Visit the Whakarewarewa Thermal Area with it's Pohutu Geyser. The Rotorua city sights end this tour. In the evening you can take part in a Hangi and Concert or relax in the Thermal Pools.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

Dates are on request, but there will be no tour between 25.Dec and 25.Jan of the following year (New Zealand Holidays).

Price: NZ$ 1100 per person with a minimum of two people.

Conditions: price include accommodation and breakfast in upper middle-class motels (or boutique lodges for a surcharge), transport in 10-seater mini-bus, tour guiding in English or German language. Not included are all other meals, admissions and optional activities.
