Sintra’s stunning setting on the north slopes of the granite Serra, among wooded ravines and fresh water springs, made it a favorite retreat for the kings of Portugal.
We will be strolling through the picturesque historic town center before entering a fairytale forest. In its heart you will discover the remote Convento dos Capuchos in a truly romantic location. The convent’s cells are uniquely lined in cork. We will continue our pleasant bike ride through the shady woods to an old windmill that nowadays serves as a restaurant. During our lunch in between exotic plants we can enjoy the magnificent view at the sea and the coastline. To finish a beautiful day, we will be riding on a gentle even territory along Europe’s westernmost coastline to the yacht harbor in Cascais.
