Imagine a place with gigantic mountains, flowered meadows, waterfalls, quaint villages perched on grassy slopes and endless lifts and singletrack. A place with beautiful climbs and massive, flowing descents. This is Switzerland. It’s just as you’d imagine, but better. Where else can you wake up in the morning in a 100 year-old stone chalet, sip a cappuccino with a post-card view laid out in front of you, then roll away on a 7000-foot descent? No matter if you are a seasoned European traveler or a first-timer in the Alps, join us for the riding adventure of a lifetime.
This is the ultimate DH trip on the planet; hands down. Out of the gate, Verbier: a bike park with unreal descents and lifts that wisk you to the high-alpine and jaw-dropping views of Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest peak. Then we load the van and uncover unknown nuggets in the area that even most locals don’t know about. Trails like The Brazillian, Rolling Orgy, Medieval Flow and more. Next stop: the beautiful college town of Brig. From here we’ll session Zermatt, which is all time, and then hit more a-grade descents via lifts and trains in the area. Alpenrock will take you to another level.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 – Arrive in Geneva, transfer to Verbier area
Upon arrival in Geneva Switzerland you'll be greeted by your guides and meet the rest of your group. From Geneva, we'll drive along the beautiful Lake Geneva, through Lausanne, Montreux, up the Rhone Valley and into the heart of the Alps near Verbier. This afternoon we'll build our bikes, review riding skills and go over safety details then go for a 3000-foot backyard shuttle. Tonight we stay at the hotel La Vallee.
Day 2 – ride Verbier bike park
Today we'll spin down to the lifts at La Chable and head up for a day of downhilling in the ski resort of Verbier. The riding is so good here and we will definitely eat lunch at one of the epic mountain hut restaurants with a view of Mont Blanc. The final 5000-foot descent back to our hotel is unreal. Tonight we stay at the hotel La Vallee.
Day 3 – Shuttle Verbier area
This morning we'll hop in the van and drive 40 minutes to the top of a local pass. The descents here are off the charts: choose from 4 different mind-blowing rippers with names like Rolling Orgy, Medieval Flow and Cemetary. We'll make sure that you're more than satisfied by the end of the day. Tonight we stay at the hotel La Vallee.
Day 4 - Ride Illhorn and Crans-Montana and St. Luc
Today we'll drive down the Rhone valley to a little-known lift network and do two extra big downhills. Today's DH nuggets will run our bikes and bodies well over 10,000 feet of epic, all-time decending. Tonight we stay at a hotel in Sion.
Day 5 – Shuttle the Brazillian
This morning we'll sleep in and relax…well deserved. Maybe do some shopping in Sion? Then we'll load the van, drive through the lower vineyards and up into the mountains to some of the best descents that we've found…including the famous Brazillian descent, a high-speed highway that goes from high alpine to the valley floor. Tonight we stay at the beautiful Hotel Du Pont in Brig.
Day 6 – Ride the Aletch
Ahhh…wake up in the bustling college town of Brig to massive peaks all around. This morning we'll pedal over to a lift and spin laps in the shadow of the Aletch glacier, Europe's longest and a protected UNESCO site. In a nutshell: unreal views and tasty descents. Tonight we stay at the beautiful Hotel Du Pont in Brig.
Day 7 – Ride Zermatt
Up early and on the train for the 40 minute ride to car-less Zermatt where we have massive choices…with huge lifts to take us up gigantic peaks. Today, we'll ride some of the very best trails that you could ever imagine. Trust us. Tonight we stay at the beautiful Hotel Du Pont in Brig.
Day 8 – Transfer to Geneva
This morning we will drive back to Lourtier and pack our bikes into bike boxes and drive back to Geneva where we can spend the afternoon exploring the city. Tonight, we’ll stay at a hotel in old Geneva.
Day 9 – Fly home
Depending on departure times, the guides will drive to the airport for the flight home.
