It hasn't been easy, but we did it. For years now we've been researching new trails in the Graubunden and Ticino areas of Switzerland and northern Italy trying to piece together an all-mountain trip that rivals Cloudraker. Well, it's here and it rocks. This new trip is a gem with a new over-the-top ride each day: from Zurich to the grassy mountains of Davos, to shuttles on the red train on the Col D'Anzana, to a jeep shuttle and hike-a-bike to 3000 meters near Bormio Italy, to a 6-plus hour epic from Europe's highest pass, the famous Stelvio. Sacred Mountains: the bomb.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrive in Zurich, transfer to Davos, Switzerland

Upon arrival in Zurich Switzerland you'll be greeted by your guides and meet the rest of your group. From Zurich, we'll drive 2.5 hours to beautiful mountain town of Davos. This afternoon we'll set up our bikes, review some riding skills and go for a short ride. Tonight we stay at our Davos hotel.

Day 2 – ride Davos, Switzerland

This morning we'll board a monorail lift to 2700 meters and ride back down to Davos on one the the unreal singletrack descents. After lunch in town, it's back up the same lift where we'll ride a spectacular traversing trail all the way to to the town of Klosters where we'll take the train back to Davos. Tonight we stay at our Davos hotel.

Day 3 – ride Davos, Switzerland

Early, we'll ride down the valley on meandering singletrack for about 40 minutes where we begin an hour climb (610 meters) up a gravel road. Then we begin an unreal singletrack traverse through grassy fields, forests and mountain hamlets for the rest of the day. Depending on how we feel, we can ride up to 40 kilometers and over 5 hours. Or, take a train back from the town of Weisen. Tonight we stay at our Davos hotel.

Day 4, August 7 – Transfer to Poschiavo, ride Col D'Anzana into Italy

This morning we'll pack up the van and drive 2 hours to the sweet little town of Poschiavo. After checking in to our historic hotel we'll drive up towards the Col D'Anzana, a high pass and the border between Italy and Switzerland that was used by smugglers. We will not drive all the way up, but climb the last 1.5 hours – mostly pedalling, but with some hike-a-bike. Then it’s a beautiful singletrack descent into Italy. Don't forget to bring your passport! Tonight we stay in the Hotel Albrici in Poschiavo.

Day 5 – Ride Bernina Pass, transfer to Livigno, Italy

This morning we'll hop the local red train in Poschiavo for a shuttle to the Bernina Pass at 2330 meters. Then we ride down the backside to Valposchiavo and take the train back up again. After lunch at a refugio, we descend down to Poschiavo and take the train again back up to the pass. From there we ride, or drive in the van, to Livigno. Tonight we stay at our Livigno hotel.

Day 6 – Ride Passo Zebru in Bormio, Italy

This morning we'll take a jeep shuttle up to 2750 meters where we'll hike our bikes up to 3000 meters, that's high! Be prepared for unreal scenery up here. Then we ride an unreal trail down to Bormio…today you will never forget! Tonight we stay at our Livigno hotel.

Day 7 – Morning chill, ride Livigno, Italy

This morning we get to sleep in…very well deserved indeed. A time to do laundry, write some postcards, fix bikes and relax. Depending on how we feel, we can ride a sweet loop from our door in the Livigno area this afternoon. Tonight we stay at our Livigno hotel.

Day 8 – Ride Stelvio Pass, Italy and Switzerland

We'll leave early today and drive about an hour nearly to the top of Europe's highest pass at 2758 meters, the Stelvio Pass. Today's ride is epic: long and spectacular with georgeous climbs and descents. Today's ride takes us on singletrack used in the 2006 TransAlp race. Tonight we stay in beautiful Santa Maria at the hotel Stelvio.

Day 9 – Transfer to Davos and onto Zurich

This morning we will pack the van and drive 1.5 hours to Davos where we'll pack our bikes. Then it's off to Zurich for our final night. Tonight we stay at our Zurich hotel.

Day 10 – Fly home

Depending on departure times, the guides will drive to the airport for the flight home.
