The day consists of the following ..
Drive from Chiang Dao Nest to an area about 20 mins away. The order of the day changes but will include a visit to 5 different hilltribes. These are a Karen, Akha, Lisu (slightly confusingly there is no clear gap between the Akha and Lisu villages), Palaung, and a very small Lahu settlement. There will be a 1 hour walking trek during the day from Palaung to Akha village. Additionally there will be a 40 min elephant ride. And also a 60 min bamboo rafting journey (this is a gentle float down the river not whitewater). This tour usually ends back at Chiang Dao Nest around 3pm (not quite a full day - but there's always the option of being dropped at the cave or walking to the temple when you return).
