In canyon country of Southeastern Utah there is a world of ageless peace and breathtaking splendor waiting for your discovery. One of the most satisfying ways to experience the remote beauty of Utah's canyon country is by paddling, camping and exploring along the Green River. The calm waters of the Green River flow into the heart of Canyon lands National Park and on to Grand Canyon's Colorado River, offering paddlers of any experience level, some of the most scenic wilderness in the US. The Lower Green River offers what is considered by many to be the premier calm water float trip in America. Stillwater Canyons, tracing the historic route of the explorer Major John Wesley Powell, is primarily wilderness, offering the last 52 miles of calm water on the Green as it winds through Canyon lands National Park and meets the Colorado River. As you leave the launch point at Mineral Bottom you can look forward to scenery on the grandest of scales.
Settle into the natural rhythm and cycle of the sun, earth, water, and brilliant night sky through a gentle progression of guided meditations and awareness circles that will help us to remember our place in a peaceful life and in a world needing more peace, one heart at a time. This awe-inspiring landscape calls us to hear the silence by creating in community a contemplative and reflective space throughout our journey. We will paddle and camp at a leisurely pace through a 52 mile stretch of flat water winding through eastern Utah's red rock desert blooming desert plant life into the majestic depths of Stillwater Canyon, allowing time, space, and place to fully envelope our spirits within this wondrous landscape. We are allowing plenty of time to reach our destination so that we can spend lay-over days at each of the 3 sites along the river, allowing for day hikes and time to nest, pull in the silence of this spacious land, as well as share in enriching holistic programming intended to bring you more peace and self-realization. We will be picked up at the Confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers by jet boat. From our take-out point, we will be transported in a jet boat up the Colorado River back to Moab. This is a 4 hour, 50 mile journey that takes you on a spectacular trip through the canyon of the Colorado River a total distance of over 100 miles on both rivers!
